11Oct20: caught off guard…

Andy stopped by the recliner for a rest.

He senses the presence of…

…”The Hand That Rubs and Scritches Andy’s Head Without Asking!” Horrors!

Andy is not amused!

=(^+^)=

Andy’s eye looks icky in these photos, but he just hadn’t cleaned off eye snot yet. Later in the day, he finished the job.

I took a selfie at the doctor’s Friday. Gad! This pandemic beard creeps me out! No wonder Andy freaks out when I move in to give him a head bump. LOL! I hope the lady who cuts my hair is cutting hair again, soon, though I’m curious how she will do it while I wear a mask. (I’ve thought about possibilities.) In the meantime, I’m the wise old man of the mountain or a mountain man coming off the mountain after too many years….

  1. You may have to go after your own beard with scissors or clippers, Doug.

The way the haircutting works in my area now is that there are only two people allowed in the salon at a time, the haircutter and the client. The haircutter must wear a mask, the client does not. I am not sure how much time must transpire between clients, etc. Covid is spiking in my town now, and I am sure businesses will be required to shutdown or severely restrict access before long.

    • When I go, there is only one person doing hair. Depending on her schedule, there may be someone before or after me, and the waiting area is well away from her work area. I think if a person didn’t chat while unmasked, there would be sufficient control to avoid infecting Vicky, my hair person. I’ll give her a call tomorrow and see what she says. Unfortunately, I live in a red state, in the reddest county in the Panhandle, and now the current hotspot for the whole Western end of Nebraska.,

    • My late brother grew a really good one. Before he died, it turned white, and he had little children mistaking him for Santa! The first time I was with him and a little boy proclaimed to his mother, “Santa!” I laughed. That was when he told me it happened often when he was in public, so he just went along with the little guys. LOL! My beard isn’t white enough yet for that to happen, but I have Dick’s example to guide my response if it happens to me, too.
