11Jul21: …including Dougy cleaning up after a bath

Poor kitty! The kitty boys had lots of baths as kittens, thanks to an intestinal bug caught eating an infected grasshopper. Of course, Persian “floof” also catches “stuff”, and water is the easiest way to get it out of a kitty boy’s fur. It also pointed to the need for hair cuts for hygienic reasons.

Dougy had a better day in this video!

Dougy in front, of course.

    • An expensive one, too. Being ill with it also meant they couldn’t be sold, which meant I got two pedigree kittens for nothing. Of course, I ultimately paid $1400 in veterinarian bills till they were over it!

  1. I’ve had a few long haired cats and had to keep their hindquarters clipped. Only Mollie had to get occasional baths because of “stuff” mangling in the fur. Somehow it always happened at 11 p.m. Just when I was either getting ready for bed or in bed.

    • LOL! Yep! It took a bit of getting used to, but one learns to make haste removing it, especially when using water, for the cat’s comfort and the human’s safety!
