I caught Andy just hanging out.

I caught Andy just hanging out.

Dramatic and…

…a characteristic of long-haired kitties, their ruffs! Unlike lion manes, kitty ruffs only frame the face from ear-to-ear.
=(^+^)=
To my friends whose Queen died on the 8th, know she belonged to the world in many ways. Please accept my condolences.
I barely remember a time she wasn’t Queen, and my earliest memory of her predates my ability to read. She was this magical person riding in a golden coach, pulled by matched white horses! It was coronation photos in magazines and newspapers my parents subscribed to and I would have been just about five-years-old.
Now, I am 74 and her passing reminds me she wasn’t immortal after all. I guess I thought she’d live to be at least as old as her mother – 101 – was when she died or live so long I’d never know a day when she wasn’t Queen.

Andy just finished a long play session with floppy carrot.

Floppy carrot stopped here, too.

Inevitable! The play buddies snooze together!

Andy’s minding his business.

Doug, on the other hand, is messing with Andy.

Good move, Andrew! You don’t have to put up with that silly stuff!

“Best in Show”.

Andy isn’t interested – a movie about dogs!

So, he takes a long snooze.

Awake, briefly...

…Andy soon slips into deep sleep again.

He wakes briefly to change position. He will be well-rested for kitty games with the floppy carrot tonight!

Andy spotted it.

I don’t see anything but Andy is on the alert.

For a moment, Andy thought it hid over there, under the television, but…

for such a tiny critter, it moves quickly from behind the CD cabinet and over to the south wall.

There it is! See! Down in the lower righthand corner! The itsy-bitsy spider!
Well done, my kitty! No wonder there are no mousies in our cabinets if you can see this spider running on the walls!

Ziggy wasn’t totally in on the adoption plan. Cute as her new adopted sister is, Ziggy is not totally happy about it.

Mercury is learning to be a lap kitty.
Mariah is one of the dialysis team. She also is a great kitty mom! I know Mercury will soon become a happy member of the whole family. (Ziggy, it’s your job to be cute and teach your new sister the house rules!)

Andy and I played long and hard with his floppy carrot toy. I’d move it from his tummy but he’s stretched over the string.

That’s my kitty. Andy’s ready for another round of “Kill the Floppy Carrot”!

Well, maybe not….

Andy had a big play morning and is ready to take a snooze 😴. Check his eyes, though. He’s not quite asleep yet.
