18Feb23: in repose…

Nothing like a cat in repose.

The tail stops twitching…

…the eyes close…

…the feet stop where they rest…

…and…

…any surface is the kitty bed…

…till kitty wakes up!

17Feb23: cheese and crackers…

Time for a cheese and crackers!

Andyyyyyyy! Time to clean his precious. Ugh! I might skip the cheese and crackers for now.

=(^+^)=

It seems the end table now is Andy’s Nr. 1 favorite spot to clean his precious. The recliner had been the big spot, followed by the ottoman.

16Feb23: wrong end…

“Your face is a mess, Andrew!”

I’m just a little kitty, Doug, but I’ll try to clean up.

“Right idea, wrong end, Andy!”

=(^+^)=

Andy was exceptionally messy while eating his breakfast. He usually cleans up right away, but he had other priorities today.

15Feb23: the defiant Andy…

Andy finished his kitty food, then stopped by.

Uh oh! Andy’s giving me the look!

“Try to stop me, human!”

Slurp! Slurp! Slurp!

No one gets between Andy and his precious! No one!

=(^+^)=

The 62nd mass shooting since January1st happened in the USA on the 13th. It’s well past time for those axxxxxxx in Congress to recognize they are the problem and they can work out the solutions.

=(^+^)=

Andy didn’t greet me when I got home from dialysis, something I count on. I looked all over the apartment, even sweeping under the guest room bed with my walking stick on the chance he was sleeping under the bed. No kitty! I got a little panicked.

The time Dougy went missing passed through my thoughts – he’d slipped past me when I was holding the door open to check how much snow we got that night. It wouldn’t be like Andy to go outside, yet anything is possible.

I made another check through the apartment, then thought to check the bottom carrier in the stack by the recliner. Yes! That’s where the little darling was! I don’t recall him ever going in that carrier since he usually uses the top one for his quiet times.

14Feb23: Paws…

Andy’s minding his own business…

…when I stick my hand under his paw.

You can’t tell but Andy added a little claw action to the moment.

Yeah, time to respect Andy’s space!

=(^+^)=

It is hard to resist Andy when he’s nearby! When I put my finger on top of a paw, he invariable pulls it out and places it on top of my finger. Initially, it’s just his soft little paw, digits flexing on top of my hand a warning of what’s to come if I don’t remove my hand…claws! Leave it in place, and his claws encircle a handy finger, slowly tightening. Andy doesn’t suffer boorish behavior lightly!

13Feb23: Andy wants a toy…

Andy has a subtle way…

…of letting me…

…know…

…he wants…

…me to get his favorite toy – that goofy beat-up peacock feather remnant – out of the Ziploc bag for him.

Eventually, I pay attention to him and all’s well in Andy’s world.

12Feb23: maybe he just needs a newpaper subscription…

Andy love, love, loves…

…to lounge…

…on newspapers.

Maybe I should get him a subscription.

11Feb23: Andy’s busy day…

Sleep.

Watch Doug.

Meditate.

Andy’s had a busy day. Must be time for kitty food.

The scenes from Turkey and Syria continue to tear at one’s heart. It is encouraging that anyone’s still alive in the rubble, waiting to be discovered and freed. It is encouraging that so many countries have sent teams to join in the search. Even Ukraine sent a team. I understand that the Turkish government has taken criticism for not sorting things out faster, though the magnitude of the disaster is so great one wonders if any government can be prepared for such devastation. Over 24,000 dead as of the last report.

10Feb23: sneaking up on kitty…

Minding his own business…

…Andy didn’t…

…expect a “boop”.

He moved out of range. Boops are nice, but only when you expect and want them!

=(^+^)=

I’ve had a new printer for about a month now. This has been the year of new technology replacing old technology that pooped out. I’ve put off setting it up. It seems each time I have to set up a new printer, there are ridiculous complications! I need the dang thing, though, so I guess I’d best better just suck it up and see what this one takes to be usable. My fingers are crossed.

This is in response to easyweimaraner’s observation:

09Feb23: when Andy wants it, I give it to him…

Andy “asks” nicely.

I got his hint.

The peacock feather fragment still has its allure!

So, when Andy stops by looking for it, I bring it out!
