Not much “of cats”, though. Andy’s hiding somewhere, and Dougy isn’t happy about having his photo taken.

“No photos today, human!”
Walking way from me, eh, Dougy? Next you’ll be hopping up on my computer desk and helping yourself to your wand toy! [Dougy just hopped up on my computer desk and helped himself to the wand toy there because I hadn’t put it away yet. I tried to get him to play, and he gave me the big “Meh!”]
That leaves tomatoes. A friend left several with me a few days ago, along with some cucumbers. I’ve eaten most of these yummy garden veggies, but am left with one last tomato. It’s slated to become supper, in the form of bacon-lettuce-tomato sandwiches. Yeah, I think I’ll go for two sandwiches today! The tomato looks that good!

I named this one “Supper”!
Yeah, it’s a low acid tomato, juicy and perfectly ready to grace a BLT sandwich tonight. And it didn’t move away from me when I tried to take its photo. More than I can say for my kitties.
That’s a giant tomato! 😮
Yes, it was huge! I think it went overboard eating the whole thing, but tomato is one of those things you pretty much have to finish when you start.
Haha. Indeed they are. 🙂
Your tomato doesn’t seem to mind the camera, but how did it feel about the knife? 🙄
I couldn’t hear any high-pitched squeal, so it must have thought it just lovely!
Bo eats our tomatoes if we leave them out. Thus they are destined for the frig. Ellie
I’d be in poor shape if my boys liked tomatoes! As it is, they watch me hawk-like when I eat. I never feed them human food, for their own good, but that doesn’t diminish their interest!
Fresh garden veggies are the best and your plan for them sounds quite yummy. Your cats will show themselves for that bacon, I bet. Enjoy your dinner and your furry friends!
The boys don’t get human food. If I were smart, I probably wouldn’t have any bacon either! The BLT sandwiches were excellent. I added garlic powder, dill weed, and freshly-ground black pepper to the tomatoes, and that gave an additional zip to them that was worthy of the garden tomato. Earlier this past week, I ate all the other tomatoes as is, since garden tomatoes have such lovely flavor.
I love tomatoes. I cut them, blend them in the mixer together with avocados, onions and fresh goat cheese. Salt and pepper. Delicious!
Yum! Sounds like a great way to use all of those ingredients! I’m guessing it is a variation on guacamole, one of my favorites!
Yes, it is! We eat it with tacos or put it in a wheat tortilla and roll it up. It’s very delicious on a warm summer evening.
Mmmm! Sounds so!
My dog does not like it either and she will show her butt every time…..
Of course, your dog and my cats have cute butts! (I like how the hair curls on either side of a dog’s butt. In that respect, doggy butts are cuter than kitty butts!)
Yep those little spit curls are adorable….LOL
Cat butts — sorry, Andy and Dougy! — tend to be much less pretty than the other end of the cat. Dogs, on the other hand, and pretty and cute on both.
