Can’t get that kitty’s face very well when he hides it in the dark!

A bit better in this light….

Almost enough in this light…

Wily cat! Andy wins this round.
=(^+^)=
I sent several requests for a password change, and then the security number to undo a mess where WordPress wouldn’t allow me to access “Reader” or “Comments”. I’d messed things up through my smartphone access to WP.
After fighting it all day and running into the same message to check my SMP (?) something or other on my smartphone for that security number and finding no message waiting, I finally realized (!) I might have blocked the number at some point. I had! And there were a full day’s worth of those numbers lined up on my phone when I unhid blocked numbers.
I hate how simple things can waste days of one’s life when it comes to computers! Anyway, now I have access to the “Comments” and “Reader” functions on my laptop. On the other hand, now my smartphone needs me to log in on WP since I signed out during some maneuver to restart access to, yeah, “Reader” and Comments” on my laptop.
I find it much easier to use my computer than my smartphone.
I do, too, Charles, with exception of transferring photos and videos over to my laptop. When I had to use it to do my blog, the tiny keyboard killed my fingers! I sometimes wish I still used a flip phone instead of a smart one!
WordPress…..fun all day long!
LOL!
Security features add complexity, for sure, but we live in an age where there are plenty of fleas, ticks and chiggers on the Internet.
How true! Once I get through the roadblocks, things go smoothly, so I should be thankful.
It does take some time and work, but one needs electronic security in this world.
Indeed!
Andy is so sweet! Maybe your browser needs the cache’ cleared? I’m flying home tomorrow from Florida.
I couldn’t say. I logged out on my smartphone, ow have to navigate through both Google and WordPress security to have it on my smartphone again.
Passwords can be so frustrating
Especially when both your Google and WordPress accesses are double-passworded for security purposes…..
I thought passwords were supposed to be passe and the new tech thing is now passkeys. Yet it seems like every time I need access to my WordPress account on my iPhone I have to sign in with a password, which sometimes doesn’t work. 😾 It is ridiculously frustrating! I wonder if it’s because Apple doesn’t like WordPress or vice versa, or perhaps the universe is telling me it’s not worth the trouble and I should go outside and play like my mother used to tell me. Anyway l’m glad you resolved your password problem, Doug. Hopefully it stays resolved!
I think there is much wisdom in your comment, Hangaku Gozen! Your username on WP alludes to the fighting spirit necessary to use the damn site:

we had this with facebook… I sometimes wish the good ole times back… as a fax was high tech and newest thing and mobil phones as big as suitcases…
I’m with you, pups! Sometimes the clever monkeys who create these things are way too clever!
Chats Noirs are notorious for this kind of caper!
Ye, their souls are dark and they’ve been pissed since the days when they got credit for being witches’ familiars came to an end and people started thinking about them as “floofy”, cute critters!
Bold of you to assume that they have souls!
I speak figuratively….
Andy must have been in a “hide in shadows, be a cat of mystery” sort of mood! Routine tech stuff and maintenance frustrates the heck out of me, too!
As for tech stuff, I look back on my workdays with some regrets that the excellent tech people at my factory couldn’t follow me home when I retired! The shock of having to work out my own solutions was, at first, a source of hope. Then I came to the realization that those tech issues were endless and more complex each time!
Andy was in a silly mood! His response was more like his late brother Dougy’s in that it had that comedic quality that was typical of his response to things.
