Same old, same old, a shot of Andy scarfing up his Greenies.

But…see the elongated white hairs? I think Andy’s growing handsome white ear tufts! If so, this must be how smoke Persians show age, kind of like silver backs in gorillas and men greying on the sides of their heads before going full grey!

Yes, I almost can see the white ear tuft beginning in this older photo of my kitty boy. Differences in how his pelage takes on light hides any color variation. There’s a hint of white in his chest “feathers“, too, and his tummy “floof” always had a soft grey to it.

I spent several minutes upsetting Andy the other day. Holding him securely on his back, I pulled and combed apart several mats under his front arms. I took the opportunity to brush him bottom – tummy – to top. He was calm during side brushing, but took exception to me brushing too close to his “precious” – (…butt). Come on, now! On a Persian kitty, one of the hardest parts to see is back there! Anyway, brushing him…

This is a historic “floof” puff removed from Andy’s earlier armpit mats. A similar amount came off Andy today.
…I managed to remove lots of loose kitty “floof”, the stuff of future mats. You shall thank me later, wee cat, so being upset can be worth it for you! Each new brushing will be less upsetting because your hair will be less tangled.
