01Jun24: poor Andy!

Poor Andy!

He thinks I’ll pick him up if I touch him when he’s on the floor between the recliner and the glide rocker.

Guess what? His “spider sense” is dead on!  I often do pick him up there when he isn’t paying attention!

=(^+^)=

I enjoyed aspargus on toast with chopped hardboiled egg in cheese sauce, with dusting of black pepper and smoked paprika the other day. The first aspargus of the season came from Mexico, and was tender and thin

Yum!

This plate and a second plate was aspargus from the USA, and it was chunky but tender.

Both batches from both countries were steamed, the best way to prepare it. I steam it to just tender with a slight crunch.

  1. Andy does look like he has his Doug detector on!

Your breakfast looks delicious, Doug. We have been enjoying asparagus from our own small patch. Rick usually serves it with salmon and oven browned potato chunks.

    • Andy says Hello! That was my lunch, but it would make a heart breakfast. I think I’ll try it for that meal!

  2. That asparagus looks marvelous. Steaming is probably the healthiest way to cook it. Andy looks so adorable, anyone would want to pick him up!

    • It is easier to control steaming, I think.

Occasionally, someone other than me will catch Andy off guard when he comes over to snoop and pick him up. He always has a funny look on his face when it happens. LOL!

    • It was lunch, but it would make an interesting change from my usual breakfasts! I think I will try it sometime!

      Andy wasn’t interested in it.
