17Nov24: a concern…

Andy’s been doing this.

He sits there and looks at the Greenies but doesn’t eat them.

I wonder if his medications cause some foods to have a nasty taste.

When I was on medications in the early treatment stage of WG/GPA, any food made with vinegar as an ingredient or tomato products had a terrible taste.

=(>+<)=

It is impossible to verify this possibility. I’d feel sad for Andy if one of his favorite treats now is nasty tasting because of the medications!

=(^+^)=

Never mind! Andy just wasn’t hungry earlier!

Greenies are still on his menu.

    • Me, too! It was alarming since he’s a senior kitty now, but one clue I overlooked was his face was wet. He drinks after we eating dry food, and had been eating a dry food I put out out of my sight.

    • I have to force myself to eat after dialysis, mostly because it kills my energy level to fix something if nothing is ready to eat when I get home.

  1. He’s a character. Some cats stop eating when they have kidney disease, and water, too. You’ve had him at the vet often enough, you’d know. Glad he’s enjoying ’em again!

    • Andy has been examined and tested for kidney disease and came in well within the range for normal kidney function. His other medical issues have been addressed or are to be evaluated on December 2nd.
