Unfortunately for me, taking photos of the kitty hunt gave Andy just enough time to sneak out of the south bedroom into the living room. My strategic mistake: when hunting Andy, never leave room doors open!
=(^+^)=

This is a twice daily pain-in-the-butt process for me. Most times, he shows up where I can just reach down or over and have him in hand. I try to anticipate his escape route or routes, closing doors where necessary.
My bedroom door absolutely needs to be closed because it has too many perfect hiding spots that are inaccessible to me.

The bedroom featured in today’s blog has lots of good hiding spots, but I can herd him toward the door easily enough, where he traps himself if I remembered to close it first.
In the first photo, you can see most of an Osage orange walking stick leaned against the sofa, vertical, and on the left side of the photo.

When Andy is cornered, that walking stick placed on his neck is sufficient to keep him in place till I can pick him up.
I wish we had an easy solution like that to keep Pyshka in place to be medicated
I have a relatively small apartment, which limits his hiding spots!
So do we, but she is a clever girl, and she manages.
A good hiding place. I couldn’t see him there until you pointed him out. It’s good that you found him to give him his medication.
It definitely had me buffaloed for a time!
looks like kitty finally found & you learned a lesson I hope MOL, LOL,:)
I hate to skip medication time, though I sometimes sleep through one, thanks to the kink dialysisvpuys in scheduling two a day. I’ve discussed this with his veterinarian.
Andy’s dark colors help him hide! Yes, cornering kitties needing meds can be hard work! 🙂
I’m doing better catching him. Today, he half hid in the doughnut. His butt hanging out gave him away.
Andy is superb at hiding! I didn’t see him until you showed where he was, Doug. Have a great weekend. 😎😻
Thanks! He gave himself away by bolting.
😂❤️
My cat Clancy hid, and then would fight before taking the pill peacefully. He had to put up a brave defense.
Once I have the little darling captured, he puts his head on my shoulder and purrs.
I love it!
Oh my I found my KT on the bottom shelf of the cat tree, he never goes there🐱
LOL! Andy never went into the doughnut till he realized it was good for evading me…if he got far enough in.
This was one of the two hiding places I discerned
Yes, and it is a really good pair, of hiding spots.
I guessed he was in the donut.
Thete’s a great meme along the lines of, “Owned a black cat means sometimes realizing you’ve been talking to a pile of black clothes”
Yes, I’ve done that, too!
Andy certainly is highly skilled at hiding!
Anything to evade medicines….
