Andy needed to do a cat bath, so he did!
I need to brush him against his will, too, because his coat looks untidy. Most likely, there are mats starting to form in his coat, too.

I wish you luck with the brush, Doug! This is quite a challenge.
I cut them off Beba with manicure scissors, but of course I am not doing it on my own – my husband is holding her.
There’s a scissors used to cut off tape on wounds that has an angled, blunt end that would work well, I think. Seam rippers would work well but I’d worry about stabbing a wiggly kitty…..
Yes, I’ve seen those scissors when they were removing 120 stitches on my ankle after surgery. I am doing fine with my manicure scissors because Beba is completely still when my husband holds her.
Andy is sprucing himself up nicely! Wishing you both a Happy Solstice Day, Doug. 🎄🌟❄️
I sent a card out to you and Andy yesterday. Hopefully it gets there in time for Christmas! Anything planned with the luncheon group for the holidays?
We had our luncheon on the 20th. Around holidays, the attendees thin out to about half the usual. Yes, I appreciate the winter solstice for the lovely sleeping darkness!
I didn’t do cards this year. The expenses associated with Andy’s veterinarian visits pretty much sucked my resources down to a piint I am incomfortable, though solvent.
Long-haired cats are gorgeous, but SO MUCH work
That they are! Pretty as they are, it comes with effort.
Such a handsome boy! He may need a proper haircut in the future.
It could happen, but groomers of cats are rare where I live. I’ve gone through three, even though Andy is well behaved when groomed.
Wow that’s a bummer! 😞
I’m sorry but, given the season, you get -3 points for not having a piece of spruce in the pics. Fortunately, Andy already has +1M points for cuteness.
This is not a holiday I like.
This reminds me of trying to be gentle when combing children’s hair. They preferred me to Mum 🙂
It’s a talent, one I try when brushing Andy. He feels I fail, if his reaction is a clue.
Hello Andy..You are looking good.
He thanks you!
How do you get the mats out? We have one of those special mat combs which looks like something a serial killer would use. It’s pretty severe but it does the job!
I end up pulling them apart most times.
I’ve had to dig Catorze’s right out from the root. There’s no pulling those bad boys apart.
Andy’s end up pulling off enough hair to leave bald spots….
Oh my! 😱
Go for it, Andy, you’re makin’ some progress!
He tries!
