Actually, there is evidence of that. Where he lost interest in this particular movie, a character was running through a rail yard. They used an extreme long shot, so the actor was a tiny figure on a large screen.
Well, Andy, not all Oscar winners are thrilling to watch. After it won the award for Best Picture I rented the movie “Crash” and was stunned by its boring script. The performances by the actors were good but I could barely stay awake to the end, which I confess I cannot remember now. Anyway I don’t think the Academy’s choices are always worth watching. When they picked “Out of Africa” (colonial BS) over Kurosawa’s “Ran,” their last opportunity to give him an Oscar, I furiously swore I would never bother watching the ceremonies again. And I’ve stuck to that promise since then!
What were you and Andy watching? I subscribe to the Criterion streaming service so I can watch both old and newer art house movies. One problem about getting older however is that I’ve seen most of the classics, and not all of them are worth revisiting!
I watch TCM as an option on Spectrum. There’s another option on PBS that posts similar fare, but sometimes the print hasn’t been restored. That makes watching a bit problematic. As for what we were watching, I don’t recall. It was a stinker!
Whoa, another person and I were discussing Crash just a couple hours ago! I didn’t care for it either. He was ointing me to a 1996 James Spader eeotic thriller by the same name
Andy might like Harry and Tonto. 🙂

I know I did!
Mr Andy the cinephile knows film quality – or lack thereof. What was the movie?
Being with a close friend is wonderful, even if their taste for movies is different from yours.
Yes, I totally agree, though Andy sometimes blocks the closed captions at critical moments in the movies he doesn’t want to watch!
Excellent taste (lol)! Just the cutest pics, Doug … and Andy looks purrfectly happy!
Thanks! I try.
Andy expression with your caption both say the same thing, Doug.
I try to “interpret” his looks!
I get them from the photos you take, and find myself talking to him, Doug. Daft? Me? Yes! Haha!
Of course not! We all talk with cats and dogs in this cover of Blogistan!
Hahaha!
That’s so adorable, Doug!!
I agree!
I bet Andy prefers the faster action movies, the ones that resemble a good Bird-TV show.

Does he like ones with cats in them?
Cats help, but he mostly likes films with lots of action.
What was the movie? I rarely like what other like, unless it’s something like Up.

I topped watching them back on the 1970’s . I personally liked the movie Andy didn’t, but it was a bit long for his attention span!
I’m so close to Hollywood that it sometimes feels like watching all award shows is a kegal requirement. Well, it did when I was working.
LOL… Freudian typo? *legal
