It was a medical day for me that required me to take a pulmonary function test directly after dialysis. I try to avoid this, but the person testing me only comes up here on dialysis day. I have low blood pressure, plus I had take medication to get it up to systolic BP of at least 100 before I’m released to return home. Well…I crashed to 70 something, fainted. When I came too after a brief incident, a doctor had been called in. I was taken to the ER, where I got 250 cc of saline solution. I was there from 10:30 till 10 till 3:00 pm! They released me once they were comfortable I was stable. I was exhausted, went to bed after eating lunch, slept till 8:30 pm. Andy had dry food and treats available while I was at the hospital, and had wet kitty food before I went to dialysis at 4:00 am and when I got home, then when I got up. He missed his day medication but got his night dose. I reported the fainting business and what they did, noting this happened in past, specifically why I don’t schedule appointments on dialysis days! That was my day.
It’s part of it. I have to call him pretty and bubble over with enthusiastic proclamation about what a good boy Andy is. He eats it up like a roasted chicken flavor Greenie’s kitty treat!
Actually, my sleep patterns are so screwed up that night is pretty much my day these days, thanks to the impact of dialysis on my body. I don’t fight it any longer, but I do feel sorry for my fellow patients who have to finish dialysis and return to work or school. Besides, that cup of black coffee really tastes good! I grind my own, so it’s fresh. When I’m in a really fanatical mood, I buy green coffee beans and roast my own, too. My roaster is small but does a great job, offering limitless roast levels.
Just how I like my coffee. You are wise to accept your sleep pattern as it is. I occasionally wake about 3 a.m. and stay in bed for an hour before accepting I have to get up
I am thst way to a certain extent. The possibility that it is past the time I have to be somewhere, specifically dialysis, often gets me up just on case. Then, always, I check the clock to find it’s 9:00 pm, not 5:30 am, which would be late! Anyway, Andy always insists on his back and ear massage first before I can check the time, though. I’ve got to the place where I just slow down once I wake up and get out of bed because Andy’s tummy time is infallible. If I slept past his tummy time, he’d be in bed with me, making sure I get up. Tummy time is well before I have to be at dialysis!
Purring means happy, and a happy Mr Andy looks content.
He definitely loves that!
And who wouldn’t?
Your cat is so spoiled and treated like a King probably best that way
Beyond doubt he is. Crystal.
A great routine, Doug!
It slows me down, not a bad idea.
Good to see you and Andy! Both of you have a wonderful day. Each one is precious.

That was a horrible day! It seems to me they can come up to test your pulmonary function on a different day. You have good a good reasons!
I bet they can if there is a next time! I asked the person testing and I think they can do it in Scottsbluff on better days for me.
thats a nice ritual.. happy friday

My sleep patterns have been very disrupted and unusual for me, lately. Adorable Andy pictures, there!
Oops that was meant to be a response for entire post.
No problem!
Thanks! So have my sleep patterns. Glad you enjoyed Andy’s photos.
