16Aug25: ‘nip…

I spot this prime leaf on my ‘nip plant.
Picking it for Andy…
…I show it to him, but he acts like he doesn’t trust me…
…so I place it on the lapboard on the ottoman. Will he come around?
Andy finally stops by.
He sniffs the ‘nip, but doesn’t stick around to enjoy it.

=(^+^)=

I usually give Andy ‘nip by the front door. I think his problem is classic cat: they hate deviation from what they consider to be  the norm!

Well, he stopped by, looked at me, then left without sampling the ‘nip.

    • I think it it actually is two, possibly more plants growing together in that Greenies container converted to rather plain cachepot!

  1. My current cats prefer it dried, H.I.M. Xenia liked it dried or green. It’s just like some people having tastes in wine. Right now, the Leominster Gold is flowering in the garden, and will be harvested soon!

    • The last commercial dried catnip I bought had a prickly quality that made me think nettles or me other plant like that must have been mixed in 2ith ir. I didn’t like Andy eating it so decided it was time to grow it fresh again. Incidentally, I grow it in a large size Greenies container Andy helpfully emptied treat by treat! Works fine.

    • It’s a pain to get started X but much nicer than comercial dried catnip. Plus, the kitty gets a bit of fresh greens.
