Post 342: Home Guard

Andy and Dougy serve a useful function. They aren’t “just cats”! Here, you see Andy on my computer. The warm sun may have something to do with it. Lazy boy in the sun! See how his head glows?

Or is there something else on Andy’s mind?

Andy oversees an error scan on my computer. Good job, Andy!

You may think Dougy’s lazing here. Look at his self-satisfied gaze, his proximity to the disputed tub on top of the carrier…!

Or is it something else?

What's up, Dougy?

What’s up, Dougy?

OMG! He’s guarding the back door! Good kitty!

Appearances can be deceiving. No bad guys can get past the snarling teeth and bloody claws of the Dougmeister!

    • The top of my computer is prime territory for a cat wanting to hang out with me. I’m close enough to scratch ears and rub a nose, but Andy can “escape” if he decides he doesn’t want any more attention. Dougy likes more proximity, plopping down on my computer desk in my work area. Of course, I just get my hand on my mouse as best I can, and deal with it: Dougy is my lovebug! (The boys thank you for your kind remarks about how pretty they are!)
