Post 846: the window watch is passed to a new kitty…for now

Dougy left, so Andy took over the window spot.

Apparently the bird that Dougy saw that got him all excited

“I’ll be here,” Andy thought,” and Mr. Bird will have his day with my terrible kitty cat wrath!”
(No doubt Andy will climb the screen trying to get him!)

    • So far, I replaced four! I usually leave them till they are a mess. I don’t open windows because Andy has pulled sreens off the windows when he climbed them, and I have concern he might get out by that means if I’m not careful. Fortunately, replacing the screening is relatively cheap.

  1. I love the eyes…they say so much. Funny, these two are different kitties. When Kali was younger she was a real terror. She was the most innocent looking cat but her forte was catching hummingbirds! Peeps looked at me as if I taught her! One year she got eight. I was so disgusted, I tore out all my lovely flowers that attracted hummers….Kali would hide in the flowers and leap out at them. I got rid of the hummer feeder and anything I had that hummers might come near. Now, she is 13 and couldn’t care less about hummers or any prey anymore except cloth mice.

Shoko catches mice…never caught a bird….doesn’t care about birds except crows. She talks to crows and ravens….now this is the title for a good movie, ” Talks to Crows and Ravens.” Shoko has never killed a mouse…oh, that’s wrong….she got overly excited playing with one and it died….she kept tapping its back but it was gone. These mice she brings in the house…..or wants to bring them in the house. So, if you’re not paying attention when you let Shoko in, the mouse comes with her. They head for a landing just before the basement stairs…..it’s surrounded by walls, door and stairs….the mouse can’t escape. After about 20 minutes Shoko gets hungry so whips upstairs for some food. This is my opportunity to load the mouse into a pail with a piece of newspaper on top….basically so I don’t have to look at it. Then set it free over at the neighbour’s yard, Shhh…..don’t tell them.
