Post 898: some posters from favorite photos…

I found fakeposters.com some time ago. It allows anyone with digital image files to make “posters”.

Over the years, I’ve made a few, some of which you’ve probably seen if you’ve followed my blog for very long, and others you may never have seen. I hope you enjoy them!

You've seen this photo of Dougy. It's my all time favorite of him!

I have no shame: I recycled this image I earlier characterized as a “FAIL”…. This is Andy again.

Dougy never is innocent. Believe me!

Could Andy be cuter than in this recent photo?

What photos are smoldering in your files that would make a good “fakeposter”?

Post 897: Andy just has to snoop…!

Curiosity and cats: You know how it is! Andy is true to the kitty creed: “If it’s there, it must be for kitty cats.”

Andy's on my desk, snooping!

Andy’s on my desk, snooping!

Ooops! He spots me spotting him...!

“No, I’m not snooping. You just think I am….”
Andy isn’t too convincing, eh?!

Caught in the act, Andy ptepares to make a fast exit!

This is what I tell Andy when I catch him snooping:

Snoopy is a dog.
Andy is snoopy.
Therefore Andy is a a dog.

Hee! Hee! That gets him going!

Post 896: Andy’s been busy, too!

I seem to feature one kitty over another for a few days, then bury you in photos of the other one for a few more.

Well, it’s Andy’s turn now! He’s been very patient but now wants you to know he’s been busy, too!

On the look out for Dougy...! Don't want interruptions now!

Seems to be safe! Andy has important kitty business to take care of just now!

“Stretch!”
Andy does his morning exercises. He’s lookin’ good!

“Exercises done. It must be time for a little snack. But a good scritching would be wonderful just now, too!”

Of course Andy came over to my computer desk for that good scritching! Then he had himself a lovely kitty snack before he strolled off to take his morning nap.

It’s been a busy day for our dear Andrew!

Post 894: the Caturday paparazzo attack on poor Dougy J. Gato…!

Oh, oh, oh!! Caturday is supposed to be a day of fun and little doin’! So what did poor Dougy have to put up with first thing this morning? Yep! A paparazzo attack of the most thorough and intrusive sort!

Caught by the paparazzo! Doughy feels trapped once again!

“No flash! No flash!”

Dougy tries to escape...! Caturday isn't meant to start out this way!

Caturday isn’t meant to start out this way!

“Maybe I can hide on the recliner…”
Dougy tries to disappear from the naughty photographer!

“Poopy tail feathers! I’m stalked even here!”
Dougy feels stressed out.
“Must escape to my happy place…!”

Dougy's happy place is in the lion's den. No relief from the flash here.

“Must escape! Must escape!”

His new box...!

His new box…!  Not safe here, either.

The paparazzo, finally satiated, takes one last photo of his victime. Dougy final;ly gets to enjoy a little peace and quiet on Caturday!

Post 893: happy kitty, new box…and a fly, too!

A new development: a fly got in the house. Boy oh boy! The kitties are in hunt mode now, swatting at the fly when it flies by, performing amazing acrobatic leaps into the air, and generally getting lots of healthy exercise, something inside pampered kitties can always use more of!

=(^+^)=

The boys’ favorite people are delivery people, especially those who leave boxes. Such a person visited yesterday, and Dougy quickly claimed his new box!

Woohoo! A new box for Dougy!

“Tough stuff, brother! I was here first!”

Dougy doses in the luxury of his new box:

Dougy dozes in the luxury of his new box: “Life is good!” he thinks, “And it doesn’t have to get better than this!”

Post 892: good advice on photographing black cats…or doggies, too, I suppose!

One of my favorite kitty video makers put out an excellent video on photographing dark pets.

If you have one or two (like I do!), you will recognize the problems he identifies, and feel inspiration to try to take those photos of the little darlings that seem impossible.

Or, you can continue to take photos like this one I recently posted of the boys:

dark kitties of the corn

Black cats are hard to photograph!

Sho Ko (Shorty and Kodi) channel on YouTube is fun, nicely done, and worth your time if you like kitties.Take a look if you aren’t familiar with this delightful channel!

Post 891: something of interest…

a1

Andy isn’t easily impressed. While Dougy always wants to play — especially with a new toy! — Andy’s reserved personality means you have to work at getting him to play.

Yesterday, I attached a new “lure” to the boys’ favorite Neko wand toy. It impressed Andy, and, as you can see in this photo, excited his interest. It didn’t take a moment to get him to play. Success!

Post 890: …busy, busy, busy

What a morning! I decided to update my pc to Windows 10 from the perfectly workable Windows 7 that it came with. What a soul-sucking, tedious, mind-numbing process that turned out to be!

I didn’t see any particular reason to do this other than it is free now and probably will cost something to do later. I haven’t explored Windows 10 yet so have no sense of whether it is an improvement or just something one needs to do before Windows 7 no longer is supported by Microsoft.

I still have my laptop to update to Windows 10. Fewer files, newer operating system (Windows 8), and no urgency to complete the job means I can start the process and walk away from it till it completes its course.

=(^+^)=

That noted, let’s get on with the kitty boys update!

Handy Andy!

Handy Andy!

You know Andy was a very bad boy yesterday. He didn’t coöperate with his tormentor, me, and take his medicine like a big boy. I spent at least two hours trying to catch the little bugger, and he evaded me very effectively each time.

Then, when I headed off to bed, I saw him resting on top of my pc, one of Andy’s favorite perches. I simply walked over to him, picked him up (no struggle!), and walked him over to the chair where I give him his medicine.

Less than five minutes from start to finish, I caught Andy, gave him his medicine, and set him down on the floor for his kitty treat for being a “good enough” kitty. (He wasn’t a really good kitty, after all!)

Andy doesnt take his medicine with grace...

Andy doesn’t take his medicine with grace…

It wasn’t all tedium this morning, however. The boys and I had lots of fun with their favorite Neko wand toy. I wore them out with play, and they are taking their morning naps now. Of course!

=(^+^)=

Post 889: “C’mon, Andy!”

You may think Andy’s on the job here, guarding my pc and making sure I don’t open any naughty websites…

“C ‘mon, Andy!”

What’s actually happening is Dougy just stopped by and invited Andy to come down and play their little wand toy game, the one with the rules I can’t discern.

Quite an improvement over yesterday, when Andy and Dougy were having a tussle!
