I imagine the new look won’t be popular with everyone, but the mat problem finally got too severe to continue with long hair. Dougy, above. is happy to lose all that hair now that warm days are coming! (So’s Andy, though he hjasn’t cooperated yet withg being photographed. Not to worry. I’ll photograph him eventually, in his time!)

Another look at Dougy’s new look.

A more formal pose. Dougy is aware of the “camera” (smart phone).

Dougy stops in the act of grooming to show off a little!

Now he’s really showing off …and tempting me to “scritch” his tummy! Back to normal.
You can really see how thick their fur is when it’s shorter. Dougy looks a bit like a little lamb.
How true! The tummy fur is especially fine and thgick. It is almost impossible to brush without really fine-bristled brushes. Ogf course, this is also where they get the worst mats.
They are as handsome as always! I imagine it takes them a little bit to get used to their haircuts.
Handsome things!
They seem pleased to be free of all that floof!
Old Fooey always looked happier after being done, Doug.
Same with the kitty boys. I think the long hair (and mats) slows them down.
Dougy is looking extra handsome.
He sends him “meows”! (I think they both look great in every way their fur’s been groomed!)
dood ya look good N we bet ya both feel grate !! 🙂 ♥♥
They are reallyt active in ways they weren’t with longer hair. The oddest thing is how little they look without the long hair, though it’s good to see they are fit, niot fat, a problem for older kitties, especially Persians.
I like the cut! The boys have got to like this, feels better Doug.
Thanks! I think it’s a good one myself. It was rtecommended by their groomer several years ago instead of the lion cut.
He’s a handsome boy in any style!
I feel the same way! Thanks!
Now he looks like a lion.
