His eye is OK. He was upset with me for trying to brush him. The left eye lid is a little wonky – he was born that way. It doesn’t cause him any problems and his veterinarian suggested leaving it as is several years ago.,
As long is he doesn’t feel any discomfort. I am concerned about the Adorables, you know; I feel very attached to them.
Yes, he is has had eye infections in past, so I am very aware of the symptoms and the need for timely care.
I do remember your posts regarding Dougy’s eye infection, and I know that you watch The Adorables like a proverbial hawk and provide the best care, Doug.
I try, Dolly. I hate to think they might have permanent harm because I failed to pick up on a medical need in time. (Which is part of why I am in such a mess today! LOL! I ignored a potentially fatal disease process for nearly a year before I ended up- in the hospital in much worse shape than I needed to be had I paid attention months earlier.)
I know exactly what you mean, Doug. We tend to pay more attention to those in our care who cannot express their needs than to take care of ourselves. I do hope you are feeling well now, and The Adorables are making you feel even better!
I generally feel well except for my knees. Or, maybe, I’m used to how OI feel so don’t notice I’m miserable…! LOL~!
You remind me of an old Russian joke: they are lucky because they don’t know how miserable they are. We do the best we can and cherish every day, don’t we?
He’s undecided if there is any need to get ticked off or he’ll just ignore the possible abuse by you of not getting treats in a reasonable time. MOL

I found a trick to keeping down the eye gook, which some of our cats seem more prone to than others. I wash their eyes with a few drops of Bausch and Lomb sterile saline eye wash. I think especially at this time of year with the heat on and the furnace fan blowing they get more gunk. That seems to flush out irritants.
There are eye wipes especially meant to deal with this in cats and dogs, too. Usually, the kitty boys wipe them off when they bathe, but I don’;t have them. I’ll have to look int what you mentioned.
I thought I saw a booger! Such a handsome dude. 🥰
I used to have a photo editing app that allowed me to deal with those, but the one on my phone doesn’t have the same thing.
