Never mind I put a piece of ice on the lapboard for Andy, he was more interested in the glass of ice and water I set down on the end table. I had a heck of a time deciding which was more important, a video or photos for this blog or keeping kitty mouth and tongue out of my ice water! It was a close one! I eventually set the glass down on the floor, which was sufficient to give me a bit of time to divert Andy’s attention elsewhere.
It was really warm in the apartment, and I needed to cool down. I also put some water and ice in a kitty water and food bowl in the kitchen but I made the unforgiveable mistake of putting it in the right part, not Andy’s preferred left side. He wouldn’t have anything to do with it until I turned the dang thing around so the ice and cold water were on the left side. Cats!
Cats always want what we have! 🙂
That’s a fact!
Andy’s just superstitious like all smart cats. We all have our own superstitions like I always turn around 3 times before laying down. This gives all the creepy crawlies tie to vacate my bed before I collapse.
LOL! Seems so.
At reading your title I thought of the chilfren song”three blind mice ‘”
But it was another topic , an experience showing that Andy loves to find his drink on his usual way and not elsewhere !!! He teaches you, Doug.:)
After all of the curiosity, he either bats the ice around like a football or ignores it after sniffing it a time of two. Rarely, he’ll lick it.
It sounds like you’re being well-trained. 🙂
He gets his way with me, for sure!
Ahahaha I can see where Andy would hear “mice” when you said “my ice”!
Cats think everything belongs to them. 🙂
Until you give it to them, then they ignore it, havi8ng smothered it with “kitty cooties”. LOL!
I’ve seen a flowing water bowl for cats, they really like to drink water like that.
Yes, Except for the first couple of weeks or so after I brought the kitty boys home, Andy and his late brother had and Andy still has one of those fountain-type water bowls. They do seem to prefer this arrangement for water. There are several types on the market.
