Andy doesn’t come around for nothing.

Yes, you-know-what is what’s on his wee kitty boy brain this morning! Awww, kitty! But I wanna pick you up for snuggles!

Doing his quality assurance check first.

Yes, they are just what the kitty came for, but don’t plan on snuggles, Hooman guy!

Today started with a long sleep. I felt exhausted at 9:30 last night, so went to bed. I fall asleep pretty soon after I go to bed, fortunately. I woke up around 5:30, so got close to eight hours of sleep! That’s a recent record, one so rare because I can’t imagine sleeping more than four or five hours at a time.

Andy just zoomed by and back. Zoomies at 6:58 AM! Zoomies are when a kitty has unrelieved energy.
I suspect this time it’s because we didn’t have “scritch time” on the cat tree because Andy didn’t hop on it when I got up. Then, we didn’t do the full “mousies in the cabinets” search while I prepared our breakfasts.
Kitty boys have their routines, and they can’t be done out of their, the kitty’s, preferred order!
with the warm weather we’ve opened the porch for the kittens and the dog. the kittenbs love the extra distance that the porch adds to their Zoomies. the dog doesn’t get it.
I bet!

I am glad you got a good long sleep, Doug. Those long sleeps are restorative. Cats know this to be true. 🙂
…then I learned I have to get a new laptop!
There is a perverse predictability about life.

Yes, everyone has their own preferred routines.
Andy’s are very time sensitive!

Lovely pictures of Andy! Always good to get plenty of sleep, especially if you wake up to early zoomies!
Thanks! Unlike Andy, no zoomies for me!

Sometimes I fight to stay up until 10 p.m. otherwise I’ll be up at 4 a.m. How our patterns change as we age
No kidding! My sleep pattern is totally different now.

So very true, Sir!
