Andy purred – you know having a massage on his butt and back always are a treat!
Holly noted it also calms the kitty down before the thermometer insertion….Andy survived temperature taking. Now to the scale.Andy picked up a few ounces, proof the hyperthyroidism medication did the job.Holly left for a moment. Andy used the moment to……hop down to get back in his carrier, the safe place while here!Holly still needed Andy for blood pressure checks.Oh, well. Andy wanted to be in the carrier, so Holly played along.Andy should have liked this blood pressure machine because they don’t have to shave a foot or on his tail like we they used to do.Earlier, at home, Andy hid behind the recliner, trying to avoid capture…

…but I blindly reached between the recliner and the wall to capture him. I accidentally grabbed the tail end, not the head, and Andy valiantly defended himself. My hand lost.
=(^+^)=
On final medical news about my kitty, happy, too, that the heart murmur is better! He was a very good kitty for his visit today, but he is a good kitty!

It started to snow while Andy and and I were at the vet’s.
Not much to it so far. OK by me!

Wow ! We are sorry you had a confrontation with Andy’s wrong end before you were able to corral him, and w hop your hand heals up well. We are also happy that despite the kerfluffle Andy got a good report. We can see why he likes Holly so much – she even lets him stay in his carrier for part of the exam.
I think any innovation that’s less invasive is good if it gives equivalent results. As for the improved blood pressure machine where shaving the leg or tail to get BP, this one wouldbe better if it didn’t make what must be a strange noise to animals when it pumped up. Andy was hiding in the carrier when it was taken, though. Thst may have helped him.
Good grief, Andy! No gratitude for the hands that feed ya, eh? I’m glad that the meds are helping him, yay! Pour some H2O2 on those cuts, Doug. I do that then put Neosporin on cuts, they heal much faster.
I heal fast, fortunately, though I totaled proper care of wounds.
Yes, Holly is an excellent animal handler!

Some days, things go without incident. Other days…!
It’s good that the medication is doing its job.
I’m glad for it. Andy was very thin because of the thyroid issue. That especially has turned around.
Glad the murmur is improved.
Me, too. I didn’t realize that could happen.
Glad you had good news with Andy, but your poor hand.
Me, too! I want Andy to have a good life.
Good news from Andy’s vet visit, but Doug looks like he got injured trying to get him there.
Yes, and it was hopeful for the future.
Glad that it was good news at the vet!
Thanks! I was pleased!
Andy looks absolutely enormous in these pics! And he scratched his papa? Oh no!
He is fairly large, but all that hair gives the illusion of a much larger kitty.
At least the weather cooperated! Good news for Andy and bad news for your hand.
Yes, and it was much appreciated.
Holly understands him well
She does! That makes the visits happier for her patients. She does have several cats, dogs, and a macaw.
Yay for good news!!
I had Oro at the vet on Thu and they’ve switched to an ear thermometer… no more anal probes!!!!!!

Oh my, looks like you did get some scratches! It’s good that the med is helping Andy, though.
Poor Andy! He was just defending himself when he nailed me! Of course, it was good news the medications helped.

Yes, I did tend to the wounds that way. Live with a cat or two and you learn proper wound care I’d you’re smart!
Your a great cat dad! 😻😎
