I generally find Western movies uninteresting, but “True Grit” is one John Wayne movie with a good storyline, fantastic scenery, super cinematography, and lots of good humor. Andy watched for a short time, though, then hopped off the ottoman and went for a snooze in my bedroom. John Wayne movies, it seems, always has been a matter of taste!
Perhaps Mr Andy can only take Western in short spurs.
Lol! That pretty much covers me, too!
Andy liking movies with horses in them is cool, Doug.
He likes car chases, too!
LOL! I get it. He does, doesn’t he?
His fur! He almost looks part-dinosaur in that lying-down photo! 🤣🤣🤣
My dad LOVED his western movies but never cared much for John Wayne. He thought that Wayne seemed artificial…
That’s pretty much my feeling about his movies. There are a few that were later in life that were better acted and had higher production values. I still have to reserve the right to turn the channel!
You can change that channel at will, sir! 🤙🏻😂
I can at least….
I saw “True Grit” a long time ago. So that one got Andy’s attention for a short time? I wonder how he would like Avatar?
I didn’t care for it myself, so probably wouldn’t turn to it on the television. We may never know! I’m not sure why I didn’t care for it. I couldn’t get into Lord of the Rings or that Narnia thing either. Dune? Yuck!
How about the original Star Trek “The Trouble with Tribbles”? Andy might find the Tribbles interesting. 🙂

I know that was a fun one!
Aw – I haven’t seen True Grit, but I gather it is considered his best
He got his single Oscar for it, I believe.
Yes
❤️❤️❤️
😸 Driving 2000 beefs to Belle Fourche with real Cowboys was fun too 🙂
That’s a interesting job, eh!? I’ve done this on a much smaller scale moving cattle from one pasture to another so they could “meet” a bull! These cattle drives still happen in the Sandhills of Nebraska, too. Nothing like driving down a tertiary road and getting behind one, though. You definitely get to learn patience. I’ve never asked before, but have wondered if you are Lakota. Cool if you are!
My Dad visited from Minneapolis to Oakly ,Utah guys were driving a heard in 1986 and my dad wept whilst he had not seen that in over 60 yrs
It is used rarely, now that cattle can be moved by truck or train. I know the last one I got behind was a rancher moving the herd from one of their pastures to another by the one lane country lane, the most efficient route that didn’t involve opening and closing gates along ghe way after the first one and the last one.
I named my old cat after Lakota & Cherokee for Mountain Lion Friend Trickster From the Land of Smoke {Washe Koda Iktomi Sha Kon O Hey} 😉
Smokey Mountains, Tennessee , near Ole Rocky Top…
I wondered about that! It’s the coolest cat name zi’ve ever come across and now I understand just how cool!
I’ve forgotten how that movie goes, but I do think it’s likely a good one! I became weary of Westerns … Super cute pics of Andy!
I rarely watch the thrm myself. The basic story is the Kim Darby character, a young girl, hires a hit man to locate the man who killed her father. He shows up, drunk and in bad shape. In the end, he straightens up, locates the bad guy, shoots him. That isn’t much of a synopsis! It has lots of humor and beautiful Western scenery.
Rooster Cogburn with Kate Hepburn was also a good one Andy might like 😸
I did, I know.
