Andy was upset with me because I left the apartment early Monday morning.Yes. I left for Rapid City at 5:30 am for an 8:30 car appointment. It’s a five hour round trip. After my car was given it annual maintenance and a recall fix, I left Rapid and got home, exhausted. It was a light lunch, then bed!“Oh, boo hoo, Doug! Cry me a river!”
I knew Andy would understand.

Two-and-a-half hours both ways…. It used to be a three hour trip one way, then they created divided roadways from the South Dakota border to my destination, possibly farther and increased the speed limit from 65 to 70 mph. Just having a divided highway deals with the old tedium of getting behind slow moving RVs and trucks. You can pretty much set the cruise control at 80 and forget it except near two small.rowns and Rapid City. I’m glad it’s done for the year, though!
5 hours is a long trip. Glad you are home safe and sound with Andy. Cats do get concerned when the people are away!

I really don’t like to leave our cats alone in the house, but there are times when we just have to. Our cats react about the same way Andy does.

157 miles/ 253 kilometers one way. It’s through scenic parts of the region, though.
