Something caught Dougy’s attention this morning when he was hiding in his favorite box.

Waiting for prey to walk by.
Dougy is a predator!

Hark! Dougy sees something that piques his interest.

Why, it’s a paper towel tube!
Dougy is on top of it in a flash!
It’s such a cool picture
Thanks! It helps to have a cooperative subject, something Dougy rarely is. I don’t know why he was so cooperative that day.
(I really enjoy your blog, incidentally, though the WordPress translate feature seems to have difficulty with Dutch. I sometimes use my poor knowledge of German to figure out, from context, what the Dutch means. I know that isn’t always the best approach, but I usually get the meaning- or think I do!)
And, he was so extremely well hidden in his box! Master of disguise
You mewan there’s a cat in that box…??? LOL! He’s so cute when he does this. Of course, it’s good enough that he “catches” Andy when Andy p[asses by.
Beautiful!
Kitties are amazing creatures!
Wow, another victory!
Eternal vigilance, you know….!
Good lord….not a paper towel tube! Referred to as a PTT in this comment. A PTT once spit at me and tried attacking me….you must be on alert to fight off these wrappers. MOL
(((Shoko)))
So I understand! Both Andy and Dougy are wary of them, and attack them when they can!
Good job Dougy, nothing escapes you 🙂
This is the time of year when critters start showing up inside as they prepare for winter. Andy and Dougy will have a few weeks of hunting fun dealing with these intruders!
Dougy stays in stealth mode, watches carefully-quiet-and-wait for it-ounches and gets it!! The feds could use his services.
…or maybe he already is in their employ….!
yes they are crazy with these tubes or boxes… our home full of with them most them are almost torn… Should be great fun for them. Thank you, love, nia
Mine, too! It’s a housekeeping nightmare, but the cats are happy!
we can ask why a paper towel tube excited Dougy ??
In friendshiP
Michel
We can ask, but Dougy won’t tell, Michel! The boys like to wrestle these empty tubes, chewing on the ends. I guess they seem like small edible animals for play purposes!
I think Dougy is disappointed now, as there are no more paper towels on there which he could DESTROY. Or maybe he just had hoped for an edible filling … my FunTom loves those tubes with a few snacks in which he has to work out!
What an interesting idea! I’ll have to try the kitty treats in the tube thing and see if Andy and Dougy are up to the challenge! So far, neither cat has shown any interest in paper towels or toilet paper.
Neither have mine – or any I know. But since I have seen cats on videos doing it, there MUST be cats who do … NON?
Only really naughty kitties….! LOL!
For the treats in tube-thing – make sure your kitties SEE the treat going in there – they are slightly handicapped sniffing it out with their noses.
Thanks for the additional hints! I haven’t done this yet, so will be sure to make sure they not only see me put the treats in the tube, I’ll shake the treat bag to get them excited about the possibilities fore a treat!
Good idea. And start with a toilet paper tube, the paper-towel one might be too long – you don’t want to frustrate them, do you?
I’ll do that! And I think you are probably correct about the paper towel tubes.Though the boys wrestle with these tubes, it is very awkward for them to do.
He’s got a keen eye!!
Yes, that paper tube didn’t have a chance!
So cute! And he’s so distracted by it all that he’s letting you take his picture!
Finally! I was pleased to get three in a row today!
