It says a lot about my housekeeping that Andy showed up with a head stripe of dust…!
Reminds me of the Warner Brothers cartoon that featured the amorous skunk Pepe Le Pew and poor Penelope the cat that accidentally gets a stripe down her back in each cartoon, making her the total focus of Pepe’s amor for four minutes or so. Hilarious!
The headline made me laugh. My folks always used to refer to us kids as little stinkers. Hadn’t heard that for years.
My Scottish grandmother referred to us ass “wee fairts”, which I realized only in midlife was “little farts”, with a Scottish twist! Same idea as “little stinkers”, though!
It’s good to hear you are talking my language
Those cartoons are the stable of a good appetite
Thank you Doug for restoring me to sanity
The Sheldon Perspective
I loved them as a kid and they still hold up well.
I have heard of the white glove test with cleaning, but never the black cat one 🙂
Yes, it would be better yet if he helped dust the spot he got the stripe, but I see no effort toward that on his part. Hmmm!
Leave it to the boys to show you up (on your cleaning, that is.).
Well, they are small enough to get to spots I can’t reach. That’s my story and I’m sticking with it, GP!
haha…Mom remembers those cartoons. He looks so cute though. This is Andy….right?
Shoko
Yes, this is Andy, and he says to tell you thanks for the comment!
I have been rushed lately and have not had the chance to comment as much as I would like to. That’s real life for ya….crowding in on my quality time with the computer. hehe
Jean and Shoko
I know how that goes. I have had a time keeping up with daily posts since I got back from my illness and rehabilitation.
I can’t pay attention to cleaning right now. Too busy trying to get better if I can.
I am in a similar mindset. Friends feel I should do a better job of organizing and cleaning, and I’d like them to stand in my shoes for a day or two to see how I feel.
I get that. I don’t know when my house will be cleaned.
Well, there are many things I hold as more important. However, when I have a really good mess going, it seems that’;s the time people start popping up at my door for a visit. I don’t think I’ve ever had people show up when the place was immaculate and I’d like having them stop by for a visit. It’s uncanny!
Like a kind of radar or something.
Yeah! I suspect it is sharp hearing.
Even in their sleep.
I think they half-doze at night, if at all.
Probably. Maybe when they get old they will sleep.
I hope so!
Who did you say runs the place?
I can’t fool anyone on this one, Susan! I’ll just say there is no doubt about the answer!
I loved those cartoons. Le puff le pant!! My housekeeping is far from immacualte , when you have joint trouble the only room you can clean well is one of those Japanese style ones that are almost empty.
I think that would be the only way I could keep up with the dust and cleaning, too.
I remember Pepe Le Pew! Cats always find the dust… 🙂 Have a wonderful day, Doug, Dougy and Andy!
Thanks, Lavinia! Of course, a lot of the housekeeping issues start with the kitties in the first place.
Andy wanted to help you out!
Ha! Ha! I wish!
Me too, but it ain’t gonna happen.
No, I guess so.
