Post 1119: more historic Andy and Dougy…

Nope, my uploading problem hasn’t been resolved, so here are some more historic Andy and Dougy photos to hold you over till I have my answer:

Dougy loves the snow!

Dougy loves the snow! (Hope you are enjoying the last of the hot weather!)

Dougy' s curious about what I'm doing on the computer. Of course, he's my snoopy boy!

How about those goofy whiskers?! Dougy's face, gone wild.

"Exercises done. It must be time for a little snack. But a good scritching would be wonderful just now, too!"

    • Dougy is the more expressive of the two, mainly because he has amusing body language. Andy is more subdued, possibly because he had less time with his mother when he was a kitten than Dougy. He can be very sweet, though.

      • It is hard to understand their kittenhood and the effects it had.

Kali’s mom and dad adored her…the biological and the human family that owned her mom and dad. Kali was given any little thing she wanted. They were going to keep her and named her, “Peaches.” Shoko came from nothing. She was born on the streets of Prince George. The only thing she had was her mother and brother. If, I knew then what I know now, her brother would also be here. Shoko’s mom turned on the kittens as she was very anxious and upset stuck in a cage. Shoko’s mom was put down. Look at the two of them. So very different backgrounds and Shoko is the go go girl and Kali is layed back and mellow. Go figure.

Perhaps that applies in other mammals, too. Andy and Dougy are very different in personalities, though they both have basic Persian qualities like sweet dispositions and liking to be around people.

    • Thank you! They are even more lovely when their hair is long because they are smoke Persians. Letting their hair get that long, however, results in lots of matting, even when groomed regularly. Their hair is so fine, it tends to mat under front and back legs, one the back of their legs, and behind their ears. With teddy bear cuts every two months, the problem goes away!

    • They look their best when their hair is grown out since their smoke Persian fur pattern shows. Dougy’s ruff is especially striking since he looks like a little lion with his silvered ruff, maybe even more striking because it contrasts with his personality – he’s my little comedian!
