Here’s a couple of photos of Willow cat, who is somewhere in the vicinity of 20 years old, +/- a year or two. She doesn’t hear real well, but loves to eat and sleep, and look out the window. She has breakfast served to her in bed. She’s living the dream all old cats would hope for, and I am glad to be able to take care of her.
Willow isn’t the only cat at Salmon Brook farms, as you will find by clicking on the link, but you surely will agree with me she is lucky to be an elderly kitty who gets treated like a queen!
Lavinia and Rick Ross post the Salmon Brook Farms blog posts monthly. They are a combination of reports on the Ross’s efforts to develop their vineyard and other agricultural plans, the Ross’s music careers, the kitty report on the farm, and updates on their venerable Subaru, Seabisquit.
I wonder how they manage to get their blog updated monthly, their lives are so full, yet they do, and it is one of my top favorite blogs. It appeals on so many levels. Click on the link and see what you think!

She’s a beautiful kitty. I’m so glad she has a lovely home and people to care for her.
I agree with you 100%! The Rosses are special people on many levels and fronts. I highly recommend you take a look at their blog to see what I mean! It comes out monthly, but it is one I look forward to very much.

Good morning, Doug, and thank you for sharing Willow and her fellow felines with your readers! The AC is off at the moment, with cool morning air coming in the window. Old Willow is busy cooling her toes in the fresh air after a big breakfast. We are lucky to have her; she has taught us so much! 🙂
Cats keep giving at any age! I’m sure Willow is more fortunate than most for showing up at you door instead of somewhere else.
She was skinny and close to death when we found her. We had to help her.
Shwe recovered well, obviously, and I have no doubt she’s rewarded you over and over over the years!

I so agree! Lavinia and Rick and the entire gang at Salmon Brook have been a big part of my life. On their farm, a tree was planted in honor of my son Michael. Lavinia posts pictures and I’ve been keeping a pictorial record of it. I enjoy their pictures and stories of the farm while I listen to their music!!

Exactly! The Rosses are people I;d enjoy being neighbors with. Lavinia planted flowers in her memorial garden for my friend Elbert, among others.
