I scritch Dougy’s head, then he hops up on my lap and kneads my chest. Happy! Happy!

A note from my sister on your condolences on the late Molly’s passing:
Please thank your bloggers for the condolences, and now Molly’s and Sox’s memories will be together in Elbert’s garden. That is such a kind thing they do.
But of course, He knows a good thing when he sees it. He’s a Smart cat.
That’s my kitty boy!
I was unable to comment on your post about sweet Molly, but we have sent purrayers and POTP to all who loved her,
I underestimated the response and had the comments turned off for a bit. Since people began commenting on other posts, it made no sense not to leave the comments on on the Molly post. It is possible to comment there now. My sister has appreciated the comments and sent her thanks.
Nothing like a happy kitty!
Thoughts and prayers are with your sister. It is so hard to lose our kitties.
She is sad, of course, but has no regrets that she got Molly as an older shelter cat. She had lots of personality, was active even at the end, exploring the examination room. She was unable to eat, however, toward the end and that was my sister’s sign it was time to end her suffering.
Older kitties make wonderful companions, and help us humans “pay it forward” helping the elderly.
I agree. Many times they were the beloved pets of someone who died or had to give pets up because they entered care center care.
