Andy’s minding his business when…
…Dougy piques his curiosity: it’s another miller, and Dougy’s on the hunt! The quick move to the end table from the television still isn’t fast enough to give Andy a role in this hunt, but he watches Dougy on the chance the miller will flush out and fly by his murderous paws!
He watches intently…
…then thinks he sees the miller fly off. Dougy’s still sure it’s hiding among clutter on the floor. This hunt continues because the miller outwitted the kitty boys today!
Glad that somebody else calls hem “millers” too !
It’s easier than calling the army cutworm moths!
doodz…..look UP…sum times they land on de ceeling round heer 🙂 ♥♥
Here, too. Those are especially exasperating to the kitties!
We had never heard of a Millar…now we are wise to the ways of the Millars….don’t kill it guys. This guy has flown thousands of miles to be with you. Just give him the evel eye.
Shoko
Maybe you don’t have army cutworm caterpillars where you live.

Sometimes I think the cats are more interested in watching the human hunt the bug. Less work for them that way. 🙂
LOL! I’m lazy and let the kitties have the exercise and chance to be cats.
What GP said……
See my response to GP…!
This didn’t exactly look like an active hunt…. the boys getting a bit lazy?
They get really wound up once they spot the millers! Wait till tomorrow’s post. Two short videos will show you their routine!
what? miller 1 and kitty boys 0? we always meet twice said James Bond… next time you will score!
Andy’s caught millers three times I’ve been around, but he lets them go after he batters them up. Dougy hasn’t caught any that I know of, but he most likely has.
He should eat the miller!
I don’t know if I’ve seen them eat them, though they are rich in fat. Songbirds make meals of both the miller and the caterpillar stage, the army cutworm.
Sounds delicious… 😂
Apparently the kitty boys think so. (Andy finally ate one in front of me – documented in the post for Monday the 22nd…)
