Before I sit down, I set my breakfast coffee and grapefruit down on the ottoman. The end table is crowded with the rest of my breakfast.
Andy hops up on the ottoman nearly as fast as I set my coffee and grapefruit down, potentially spilling coffee if nothing else.
“No!” My worst concern is Andy getting Andy “stuff” on the drink or food!
He isn’t interested after all.
I got most of it on the end table before Andy beat me to the coffee and grapefruit! The Eggos were tasty with the blueberry pie filling on them! And the yogurt was…blueberry flavored, too. (The white thing is a wet paper towel since this is a messy breakfast.)
He sure is snooping. I get curious, too, about what my wife is eating for breakfast or lunch, but I snoop from a distance. 😊
It’s an important first step in the morning!
My Tara has started checking out my Coffee, too.. sometimes even a quick taste. Luckily I use lots of cream.
The cream must be the attractant. Andy sniffs it but doesn’t try to taste it.

It’s a favorite! Of course, when I make the waffles from scratch, it’s a bit more special, but a messier cleanup! From scratch, though, I can play around with spices or adding apple or other fruits into the batter. Hmm. I think my next time will be by scratch!
Wow – waffles from scratch! This is something I have never done and am not likely to do, unfortunately.
I used to do it regularly, but they are a mess to clean up.
I am impressed.
I like waffles better than pancakes, but I make pancakes by adding applesauce or fruits like blueberries, peach slices, or apple slices (the latter two cooked to a soft texture) to the batter. I don’t like the way pancakes soak up the syrup, whereas waffles have those little pockets, meaning less syrup is needed.
Blueberries in everything sounds good, Doug! Yes, those kitties like to “approve” of whatever it is we are eating. 🙂
I rarely eat waffles with syrup these days.

“blueberry pie”….something we don’t have too often in England, where blueberries won’t grow too well.
It seems they do well in North America. Aren’t lingonberries somewhat on the same order? (I just loked it up and they are more like cranberries here….)

I’ve tried the whipped cream on the combination but decided it was too much for me!

Ugh! Or cat water dripping off his face after he’s had a drink. He usually walks over to me and shakes when trying to get water off his face. Dang cat!
When Washe gets excited his nose starts running profusely then He wants to kiss me 👾 ❌
