Other parts of his pelage show evidence of his smoke Persian heritage. Mostly, it depends on how light hits Andy.

I’m a bit out of sync this week. Sorry about late posting! I still seem to be recovering from that stupid round-trip to South Dakota that came too early after the first one. Yes, I fell asleep after dialysis, woke up several hours later in my chair. Andy was there, waiting patiently on the ottoman, for his Greenies treat when I woke up.

I managed to fix a late lunch – 3:30 pm – of leftover spaghetti, then watched some television.
Later, around 9:00, I went to bed and slept till 2:40 or so. I washed dishes and opened a package that arrived while I was asleep.
All done, I checked my posts for comments, but realized I hadn’t posted for today!

Andy definitely likes Bret. I’m pleased he is comfortable with Bret, though the little poop gets up on the cat tree any time he sees Bret stand up. Bret is OK with this little game, so Andy gets something he likes from two of us instead of just me.

The rest of the day, it was Andy patting me on the arm to get my attention. I’d get up, follow him, but he didn’t have a specific wish on his little mind most times or I just couldn’t figure out what stopping by my bedroom door meant, for one of his “clues.” Perhaps it just was he wanted me to get up from my chair and move around. If that was it, he was successful!

This handsome ginger tabby is the late Louie, a very cool cat. He was a very personable and photogenic shelter cat that I had for a too short 22 months before he died of lymphoma. It was when I picked up the sad cannister with his ashes that the five-week-old Kitten Andy was brought out and introduced to me. The rest is history, a story that included his late brother Dougy for their first nine years.
