21May25: Andy had a long day…

Asleep?
Yeah.
Not for long, though.
My mistake. My kitty boy really, really needs his sleep! I’ll leave him alone now.

20May25: the “smoke Persian” is getting stronger in this one…

Andy’s getting weird white hairs on his head.
He is a smoke Persian.
Even in a darkly exposed photo, one white hair shows.
Or in this one if you look. You can see two of them.
It’s a bit harder here.
Moreso in this one.

=(^+^)=

Other parts of his pelage show evidence of his smoke Persian heritage. Mostly, it depends on how light hits Andy.

19May25: kitties aren’t transparent…

I always enjoy Andy stopping by.
He looks so handsome there…
…but I see a brewing problem!
“Dang it, Andrew!”
Hint! Hint! Touching him might get him to move.
“ANDY!”
“Lower that tail, Andy!”
I finally get it across to Andy that he needs to stop blocking the closed captions on the television. At least he puts his tail down, whether that was on purpose or coincidental.
Andy doesn’t get it: kitties aren’t transparent!

18May25: And goes incognito…

Andy disappeared for a few hours after I surprised him and managed to give him his medicine.
When he came around again…
…he still remembered the medicine incident!
I tried to take his photo for today’s blog post…
…and he did his best to hide in full view from my efforts to photograph him.

=(^+^)=

Time for a kitty bath.

17May25: …a scritch-a-licious great time!

Andy stops by sometimes just to get a little “scritching.”
I start on his front arm.
Nead next to his face then.
Then his chest.
He loves that!
So I concentrate on his chest, then between his front legs.
He really, really likes that. The chin, the chin!
He especially likes it when I get to his jaw and right up to his lower lip, a spot I can get better than he can.
So much for a good “scritching.” Andy’s ready for another snooze.

16May25: “Greenies,  please!”

“Thank you!”
Nom! Nom!
“One more.”
“Well, maybe two!”
Nom! Nom!

=(^+^)=

I’m a bit out of sync this week. Sorry about late posting! I still seem to be recovering from that stupid round-trip to South Dakota that came too early after the first one. Yes, I fell asleep after dialysis, woke up several hours later in my chair. Andy was there, waiting patiently on the ottoman, for his Greenies treat when I woke up.

(A post treat snooze.)

I managed to fix a late lunch – 3:30 pm – of leftover spaghetti, then watched some television.

Later, around 9:00, I went to bed and slept till 2:40 or so. I washed dishes and opened a package that arrived while I was asleep.

All done, I checked my posts for comments, but realized I hadn’t posted for today!

=(^+^)=

Andy will come back later for the rest of his treats, but he’s had enough for now.

15May25: coffee and…

Andy’s waiting by the door.
He senses something’s up.
These things are on the table…
…and his picture’s on these mugs.
Bret came over.
We ate rolls and drank coffee in the Andy mugs.
Andy is excited!
“Yes, we know what you are thinking any time Bret’s here, Andrew!”
Andy is very excited now because it looks like…
…Bret is  up! He hops on the cat tree…
…eager to let the fun begin!
Bret runs fingers up and down Andy’s back.
Purr! Purr!
Bret makes one kitty boy very, very happy!
Whoee!
Elevator butt!
Bret has a life, Andy.
He had to go for now.
But I can do the same thing for you.

=(^+^)=

Andy definitely likes Bret. I’m pleased he is comfortable with Bret, though the little poop gets up on the cat tree any time he sees Bret stand up. Bret is OK with this little game, so Andy gets something he likes from two of us instead of just me.

14May25: asleep….

I crashed today after dialysis. Unfortunately, I woke up late tonight in my chair, realizing I didn’t have my post yet for the 14th. This is it for the 14th then… Andy’s done for the day, too.
He moved….
…again!
All that sleep made Andy hungry.
He’s awake and active now.

13May25: a very slow day…

Andy came around.
He looked at me, then stopped by the end table.
He spent a bit of time there.
Next…
…he hopped on the ottoman.
I think he planned to spend some time there.
Yep!
He just came around to pat my arm again. It’s wearing me out.

=(^+^)=

The rest of the day, it was Andy patting me on the arm to get my attention. I’d get up, follow him, but he didn’t have a specific wish on his little mind most times or I just couldn’t figure out what stopping by my bedroom door meant, for one of his “clues.” Perhaps it just was he wanted me to get up from my chair and move around. If that was it, he was successful!

Finally!

12May25: sleepy boy…

Zzzz…
Andy was a bit nocturnal last night.
Not to forget a bit crepuscular before dawn.
You awake, Andy?
Yes, barely.
Time to eat. Maybe there’s some of that ‘nip leaf on the table, too.

=(^+^)=

This handsome ginger tabby is the late Louie, a very cool cat. He was a very personable and photogenic shelter cat that I had for a too short 22 months before he died of lymphoma. It was when I picked up the sad cannister with his ashes that the five-week-old Kitten Andy was brought out and introduced to me. The rest is history, a story that included his late brother Dougy for their first nine years.
