Hee! Hee! Combing Dougy’s ruff outwards gives him an especially dramatic look. Of course, it confuses the heck out of my smart phone camera – it can’t figure out what to focus on, Dougy’s face is so…floofy!

That is a lot of hair to keep combed! He looks handsome, Doug! 🙂
Thanks! It benefits from combing since it is dense, and I always get lots of loose hair out no matter how often I brush it.
Ha! He looks like Queen Elizabeth I!
You are terrible! LOL! Now I can’t see him in that pose without laughing for the first reason AND because he does a credible impersonation of the beloved Queen Elizabeth II! I’ve added a comparison of the two in the post, above. I don’t want to forget this delightful comment and wish others popping back here or stumbling on the blog getg a chance for a good laugh, too! Thanks!
Instead of a comparison in this post, I’ve created a separate post, Post 1885, set for October 16th, with their photos side by side. Thanks for the idea!
dood….ewe look LION feerce !!!!!!! awesum 🙂 ♥♥♥
The image falls apart when he opens his mouth and out comes “meow!” LOL!
Dougy has a Renaissance style (XVI th century )when men wore a wide ruff 🙂

Exactly~! As he gets older, too, the “smoke Persian” qualities come out in his and Andy’s) fur. Namely, the light colors will be more white and noticeable.
For cats and men, hair becomes gray with age 😉
Yes, and the both look more distinguished with age!
wiith an oriental ( persian ) style of course ! 🙂
Of course! Persians do have a bit of the exotic about them, an elegance.
Wowy, Dougy is super fluffy! He has a lion mane! R-a-rrr! Mom used to comb her white Persian before me like that to make him really fluffy. He didn’t really care for it. Dougy doesn’t seem to mind.
Dougy loves being brushed, and I enjoy “styling” his fur. LOL! I usually brush up on his ruff because he likes that, but I always brush it down after I’m through having fun with it.
He’s having a Big Hair day! 😍😻😍😻
And how!
He is even cuter than normally.
He thanks you! LOL! Actually, I think he looks fantastic all floofed up!
He does!
He does!!!
Poofy! <3 XOXO – Bacon
Lotys of fun, isn’t it!
He’s been beaty-parloured? Hehe! Bless him.
Just a little home grooming for now, but the effect is stunning! I bet the kitty girls across the lane would be impressed!
Ah, Feline romance might be in the air, then, Doug? Hehehe!
I think it would be complicated by that little operation both kitty boys had in December 2011….
OH, yes! Hehe!
They still can stand in the window and send kitty kisses to each other. Mrow!
Hehehe! True!
wow you are a mighty lion now!!! pawfect to rule your kingdom ;O)
Or scare his brother! Andy has a floofy ruff, too, though his is not so fantastic as his brother’s.
Awww, he looks so cute! A big ball of floof 😻😻
Yes, 10 pounds of floof and 10 pounds of cat! LOL! Well, maybe not that much floof, though Dougy is quite floofy!
