Andy is more concerned at the moment with good grooming than playing “flyswatter”, a game both he and Dougy enjoy. The game is simple: Try to catch the flyswatter as it slips in and out of the pages of the magazines or newspapers on the floor. That’s how they get all chewed up!
The question is, can Andy ignore the challenge of the flyswatter forever?
You kidding? The flyswatter is irresistible fun! He even added a little extra to the game: A water bottle cap that he alternated with digging for the flyswatter. (That’s what he’s trying to “catch” in the top left and bottom photos.)
The simplest toys are sometimes the best, and least expensive. Our little Nod likes bottle caps too.
They bat them around on the floor like soccer balls!
Someone wrote about how their cats responded to the crinkly sounds paper makes. Some way or other, the comment disappeared and couldn’t be relocated in spam or trash. I occasionally have these moments with this site, and regret the loss of any comments! In fact, it upsets me. The comment was unique and interesting. Anyway. I agree with the author of that comment (name also lost) that that is part of Andy’s involvement with paper. He gets wound up when you open a cellophane-wrapped candy, too! LOL!
doodz….dad haz two veree good fly swatterz rite ther….why doez him knead a plastic one !! 🙂 ♥♥
The plastic ones are more reliable! The other ones view flies as playtime.
Andy looks like he is having fun! Sometimes the simplest toys are the best. Our little Nod loves bottle caps, too. 🙂
