This is what I see when I come home. Andy shows up to greet me!

Andy has to sniff my hand, to make sure I’m me, I imagine…or to pick up hints about where I was and what I was doing.

I try to “boop” his nose, then, but he prefers I rub his face. That’s fine with me. His face is “floofy” and soft as silk. I can “boop” his nose later.
I’m sure he knows it’s you. I think it’s more of where have you been and who you have been around.
Yeah, I think so, too. He always sniffs me, then rubs against me to make sure I have his scent, too!
I love it when they greet us. Even an arsehat like Louis Catorze does it. He recognises the sound of our car and he’s at the door, screaming, before the other human in the house has realised.
Yeah, when I press the lock button on my key fob, the car horn beeps, of course. I’m sure that’s what alerts Andy that I’m back.
Cat are control freaks, and want to make sure that you have not had nose boops with any strange cats.
Believe me, if there were any where I’d been, I’d have beeped their noses, picked them up and hugged them, played with them, and anything else the cats tolerated from me!
Andy says the nose to hand scan will do, for now, but he may want a retinal scan later! 🙂
LOL! Well, a catscan for sure!
Good to know that you are you.
I’m happy to see Andy, too!
A lovely welcome
It is indeed!
A most thorough inspection by Andy!
I feel home for sure once the welcoming ritual is complete!
I think he likes you!
It’s mutual! Andy is a very sweet if sometimes idiosyncratic kitty boy!
