Post 832: in which I try to get Dougy to smile…

Dougy knows exactly what happens when I point a camera his way: a blinding flash of light goes off in his face! Consequently, getting a photo of Dougy with his eyes open is a rare and wonderful thing. Or I think it is. It rarely happens!

Post 722: a black cat in a dark room…

Nothing like having a black cat in a dark room and no functioning flash! Here’s a photo of Andy illustrating the outcome of that situation:

Cat toys don’t have a chance! I try to have replacements for favorite toys on hand for that inevitable moment the old toy reaches its end.

Both boys converge on the mother lode: the old toy and the new toy, just there, waiting to be taken!

Dougy makes a move, but Doug (the human one) pulls the toys away at the last second…!

I thought I had a Dougy story developing today when Dougy came striding into view.

He stopped for a moment, thought about things — cat things! — then…

Dougy’s had little blog exposure, so today you get a Dougy extravaganza, a photo shoot taken to show you Andy didn’t tear all his fur off!

To help him feel better about having his photo taken — no one in my family likes to be photographed, even the critters… — I let him select the setting.
