Andy loves his new territory. Dougy sees that and has a burst of curiosity.
He waits till he can wait no more. Will Andy ever leave the television stand so he, Dougy, can check it out? Andy teases his brother…because he can! He leaves to get a drink of water, so Dougy does what Dougy will do – he snoops!
Now that Andy’s gone, he can sniff to his heart’s content! Sniff! Sniff! Sniff!
Is that Andy coming back. Maybe not…!
Sniff! Sniff! Sniff! Interesting information, this! Andy’s wee butt left tons of intelligence on this spot for Dougy to sniff out.
Maybe that’s Andy in the guest bedroom. Dougy hears something, but it’s not a cat.
I guarantee that’s not Andy on the ceiling, Douglas! Hee! Hee! Silly cat!
Dougy reluctantly agrees. Cats can’t fly, amazing as they are.
“Buh-bye!” Dougy finishes his investigation.
Interesting 😸 I have a ‘monkey see monkey do’ 🙈🙉🙊 syndrome going on at my place;)
Oh, but maybe Andy has special powers to make himself invisible and stick to the ceiling to spy on Dougy from above. Tail wiggles.
Andy’s special quality is good manners compared with Dougy’s!
Amazing how you portray their different personalities and capture them in photos, Doug.
I watch them closely and have since they were kittens. Thanks for the comment! I try to do just that. (I enjoyed Master and Margarita! Thanks for the recommendation. I found a summary of it and am pleased to find out I figured out the big parts of it, though I think one had to live in Russia in the ’30s or be a student of history to get the more subtle references.)
I am so glad you enjoyed it, Doug, and got most of the messages. There is much more to it, such as the Satan’s Ball was modeled after an actual ball at the American Embassy which Bulgakov attended. He was invited, and was hoping to, go to the US, perhaps not to emigrate, but to travel and stay for a while. Stalin personally nixed that idea. Also, he practically foretold the fate of this novel. At the end of his life (he was only 49), very ill, he tossed the manuscript into fire. His wife Elena managed to save it. Remember Woland saying to Master, “Manuscripts do not burn”?
Stop me; I can talk about it forever!
It was really fun, and I have no problem with your experience with the text.
Thank you, dear friend! This discussion warms my heart.
Don’t tell the kitty boys, but there is more to life than kitty blogs, and I welcome a chance to expand my world through exposure to new authors, artists, etc.!
You are one of the very few, even in the intellectual part of the blogosphere, and I truly appreciate that.
They are out there, but one has to look hard.
True that. As my friends are scattered all over the world, and sadly, I’ve lost so many of them, I appreciate every person I meet with whom a real conversation is possible.
I still have three in this small town (less than 9000 people), so feel fortunate that all three are my age and still above ground!
You are lucky, and I wish you and your friends health until 120.
I tell them I intewnd to live to 140…. LOL!
That’s the spirit!
The other cat’s favorite spots are always to be investigated! That drives our Abby crazy when Lucio leaves his scent on her favorite sleeping places!
Struggle for territory ! 🙂 Wait and grab the good moment to take the place :: 😉
In friendship
Michel
Ha! They act like litytle pirates some days!
Is not a cat a pirate always? a cute pirate, I agree , but pirate anyway !! 🙂
Mais bien sur, oui!
I have a suspicion you don’t watch many full length television shows.. except maybe of Dougy. At least that should save you on cable costs.
No., while the kitty bouys distract me a lot, I miss a lot of the programs by falling asleep in my chair!
oooh dougy wait, andy got the main role in a movie… and I think he makes a great job… he is more talented that that blonde girl ;O)
Well, he is older.I think, and she was a preteen…! (Andy and Dougy turn eight years old on July 1st. That makes them 56 in human terms.)
all james bonds had their best roles as they were no longer teens ;o)
A good point! I better watch them mor closely in future in case they plan on some wild adventures…! (They better not take up smoking or drinking martinis, stirred or shaken, I never remember which!)
Cats are so much fun to watch.
That they are, Peggy! I feel bad that I waited till I was 61 years old before I got my first ones.
