Treat time is an important time of day. Ask a kitty!
Andy’s ornery? You have to ask?
The little poop makes me open the cabinet door now. LOL!
Andy makes me play a fiendish cat game….

And I thought Pyshka was the only one who keeps opening kitchen cabinet doors. But she is not as good as Mr Andy; she leaves them open. None of my cats have ever done that.
Kitty treat time is always now!
I’ve had two cats now that opened cabinet doors, Andy and Louie. Andy sometimes leaves them open (so I know the cat’s been snooping?) but Louie was a real gentlecat and always closed them, too!
It seems that Louie had good manners, even though he came from the street. Pyshka is a true street urchin in every way.
He did. I’ve since learned orange tabbies tend to be cool cats.
I am learning it now since all my cats had been black or tuxedo. Pyshka is the first orange one, but the vet calls her ‘buff.’
…and I’ve always called them “ginger cats”. My Seattle sister is a tuxedo cat person, though her current cat is a tabby with white markings.
The only one I would call ‘ginger’ is Prince Harry. Pyshka is really a muted orange color, as you can see on photos. Very much my husband’s coloring, with his green eyes.
Their are some that are such soft orange, they are almost a pastel.
Yes, and that’s why they call her ‘buff.’
I think pens are almost as fun as straws! 🙂
Andy always thinks so! That shape must suggest a snake or something like that.
So much fun seeing them play! That drawer opening, pretty darn clever!
Yes, Andy learned, though, he can get me to open them for him, and we have a little ritual around that trick.
I am impressed that he shuts doors and drawers after himself
Mostly he opens them. The video shows him being a good kitty and closing what he opened. LOL!
🙂
Doug, you are so blessed to have these beautiful cats. God bless Dougy. 😻😻❤️☺️
Only one of them left, though. Dougy has long gone over the rainbow bridge.
Yes, Dougy died last year in July. This look back at that sweet soul in the early years has been my way of putting my grief to rest. I did have a joy-filled time when Dougy was tearing things apart and being Andy’s brother.
Oh, never apologize for things you post on your blog. I just wanted to set John right.
I think your comment was just fine! Anyone unfamiliar with Dougy’s death – new subscribers – need to be updated on that fact when I post old material with Dougy in it. If you hadn’t made a comment to that effect, I would have when I came across the first comment before you.
I have been blessed, though, as franhunne4u, who’s followed the kitty boys for years notes, poor Dougy now longer is with us.
I remember your post about his passing, he was a good boy. ❤️
Yes, he was. Reviewing the videos has helped me sort out my loss, replacing the sadness with the joy his time with me brought. It’s fun, too, seeing how Andy and Dougy interacted and how his behavior now shows his evolution into a more confident kitty.
