14Apr24: my after dialysis surprise…and Andy

Andy gets his ‘nip on the table. Yes, I know! Andy didn’t get on the table when it was cluttered but started getting up there when I cleared it off. Cats!

I have a crappy enough parking situation so imagine how disturbing it was to come home from dialysis to find someone parked in my spot.

I parked on the grass since the alternative was to stop in the lane, blocking traffic.

After waiting a few minutes for the car owner to show up, I parked very close to the car, blocking the owner’s access. I intended to make a statement about taking a resident’s spot, let alone a handicapped space!

No handicapped plate, but there was a handicap tag hanging on the mirror.

Shortly after I blocked the owner’s access, a fellow came running over. He apparently is not the person to whom the handicap tag was issued, making use of the tag illegal.

I moved back, letting him get in and drive away.

I will challenge his use of the tag if he parks there again. The fine in my state for first time ticketed is only $150, with subsequent tickets progressively higher, with additional consequences. The person issued the tag can lose the privilege if it’s misused, too.

03May20: getting along…

It can be done! The kitty boys are in close proximity, yet neither acts like he wants to beat up his brother.

Wow! Both kitty boys feel comfortable taking a nap when the other brother is inches away!

I hope Andy isn’t plotting mayhem!

Post 2099: sometimes I just look at them…

Sometimes I just look at Dougy (above) and Andy and think, “I can’t believe these pedigree kitty boys were just given to me. They may not be show quality, but I think they are soooo pretty!”

Pedigree or not, Dougy is a naughty kitty! His ottoman bares witness to that!

Then there is shy Andy, “hiding” just out of reach. Dougy claims me as his human, but Andy does, too.

If I put my hand over to touch Andy, though, he becomes alarmed: “Is he going to give me medicine? Oh no! OH NO!” I have to be careful not to press him too hard or he will scamper away even though my only intention was to give him kitty loving!

Andy is a very sweet-natured kitty! If he wants to sit there on the walker to watch me, fine!

Post 758: groomer appointment day…

I have to get the boys in the carrier in a short time. Andy’s on my computer, waiting to be plucked. Dougy’s somewhere. I better start looking!

No sooner said, then Andy got up and moved over to behind the all-in-=one machine to snooze. I think I can catch him still!

Every time is a new adventure. Today, Andy was snap to catch and put in the carrier. He’s at the groomer’s now. Dougy, on the other hand, went into hiding, and I have no idea where that damn cat is! It’s hard enough scheduling the boys in for grooming without this complication.

Dougy might end up not getting groomed today or until July, the next scheduled appointment, if he doesn’t show up within the next hour or so.

WE ARE NOT HAPPY!

=(^+^)=

I managed to catch Dougy about 30 minutes before it was too late to take him in for his May trim and bath. He was very upset with me. I was very upset with him.

When I picked the boys up at 11:30, the groomers said they’d been good boys while there. Go figure! And I can vouch for how pretty they look all trimmed and cleaned up. I will post photos of them with their new haircuts, but not today. I’m exhausted from all the running around.
