Yep! Same old problem! Andy (or Dougy – same difference) is being cute, posing nicely, looking like a potential subject for a blog post, but…he’s in the dark. Oh well. I took the photos anyway, hoping Photoshop would rescue them. One turned out subtle because his whiskers were highlighted by the sun behind him. The others had to be manipulated beyond a reasonable point, turning Andy into an extraterrestrial alien kitty: “Come to the light!”
=(^+^)=
Here’s the subtle “highlighted whiskers” Andy.
This is pretty much what the rest looked like after typical Photoshopping.
Then, one last effort to bring out detail in Andy (exposure) resulted in this…
…and this~!
Oh well. I kind of like the “highlighted whiskers” Andy. In the meantime, I’ll try to catch him in good light for future posts.
Cute photos, some give him tortie markings.
Their mother was a Persian with tabby markings. She’s sort of light reddish brown with lighter markings. I see that color in their hair in certain light, just as they appear to be all black in other light or a lovely grey with blackish legs, saddle, rump, tails, and points, marks that reflect their Birman father’s markings. I think of them as black cats, but that barely covers it!
Lighting can be difficult, especially when coupled with trying for a good cat pose. I often get one or the other…
Isn’t that the truth?!
I love the photos. Makes me want to pet them.
I’d gladly let you do it if you ever stopped by in Nebraska! They are as soft as cashmere, and petting them is a very pleasant sensation.
I bet it is!
I’d love a sweater made out of it, though it would probably be really hot!
I dunno…lot of people are allergic to cats. Or they think they are.
True! I’m happy I’m not one of them. For that matter, I have no animal allergies.
That is good. Some people keep them anyway in spite of allergies. I know there are hairless cats but what would be the point?
Andy you hand some boy.
DAndy says “meow!” (I’m reasonably certain he agrees with you, Ruth!)
I kinda like the “shopped” ones ! You can see his face and he stands out against the now-white background.
I think he has a pretty face. It is just Persian-like enough to mark his heritage, but not exaggerated and broad like some Persians.
Love the Andy the Alien picture….I need to use it for an All Hallows Eve post. ~~dru~~
Go for it! No need to give me credit for it, just use it.
