Andy has good reason to hide in the box the kitty food came in. He hasn’t had his medicine yet!
=(^+^)=
All this happened in the dark, so it took the full power of the edit function on my smart phone to get much detail in the photos today: black kitty in a dark room issues!
Nothing like a good box to hide out in!
Very much a favorite “spot” here!
Shoko is very hard to photograph because of her black face. The darned gal will shut her eyes just as the picture snaps. I can hear her MOL when I look at the picture. I should scare the cwap out of her and see if her eyes stay open. I won’t but it is tempting.
Jean
I can imagine this very well, knowing what Shoko looks like1 From what I’ve seen, though, you do an admirable job photographing her!
“black kitty in a dark room ” sounds like the title to a poem or a piece of art. ~~dru~~
LOL! Or the premise of a type of joke called a “groaner”!
Just like in the old westerns, Andy got himself trapped in a box canyon !
LOL! Good one! He has another weakness: If he’s on top of a box, he has a false sense of security. Many times, I can catch him to give him his medicine when he’s “hiding” on top of one of his boxes.
doodz….we hope dad letz ya keep that box !! N joy de foodz, N joy de box anda happee twooz day two all !~ ♥♥♥ 🙂
I’ll try to find a place for it because Andy thinks it is just right for Andy stuff! There are several really worn out and ugly boxes I let the kitty boys have. I think the one in the front room (you often see it in photos of Dougy on his ottoman) is three years old.
I had some issues with light conditions too. Just could not get it to work. That’s why I rather take photos outside. Outside, there is rarely a too dark setting here in the south.
Natural light is my favorite, too. If the kitties were outdoor cats, I’d have ideal light conditions, but poor conditions for cats.
You have the same problem as we have: dark subjects!
Exactly! It becomes a challenge to get decent photos just about every time I want photos for my blog. I “settle” a lot of time, for example the photo of Andy inside the box. A terrible photo! With proper light, it would have been kind of cute.
I feel your pain, it’s the same here. I settle a lot of times too as it becomes too time consuming to alter it. Too be honest I already spent way too much time on photos of the furry ones since I got home…
LOL! I, for one, appreciate your efforts!
And Benji is right now looking at me to ask me with his pleading eyes “where is my dinner”!!
Andy politely sits by my chair, and Dougy rips at the chair with his “Brazen Horrific Claws of Doom and Furniture Annihilation” to try to get me moving. When food’s involved, I best better get with it, too! (Dougy’s upset with me now because he wants to play, so I best better get with it or “The Claws” will be out again. He’s such a brat!)
Haha. Benji is persistent but very polite. He is now perfecting is stare. He hasn’t learned yet that that is not polite either. He does it in an adorable way though.
They do know how to work their best features! I can’t imagine Benji ever losing a staredown!
They do, but I can hold my own. If I ask “are you sad?”, he stares at the floor… of course he is then rewarded.
Will he ever make a dent in that stash of doggy treats if he can’t hold back the cute? Ha! You definitely chose well at the shelter when you shoes Benji!
He is set for life! And so are we with him 🙂
He needs a girlfriend to help him with the doggie treats he and Ms. Zulu can’t eat their way through!
He has a girlfriend (see https://lifeofbenji.com/2016/05/24/friends/), but she is not helping… mom’s orders.
I see I liked” that post, but I forgot about Fiona.
They haven’t seen each other for over a month. I believe he misses her. Tomorrow two other friends will come over to play 🙂
It will be a good romp, I bet!
It always is 🙂
With those long legs, Benji must be capable of some amazing romps! Ms. Zulu may have shorter legs, but her genetics suggest she must have the agility of a sheep dog.
It’s great to see them do the herding game. Ms. Zulu is the herder and Benji loves to be chased. Ms. Zulu is smart though, she doesn’t have to run much as she moves Benji is circles with her head and eyes. I will be on the lookout for a moment to catch it on video. That is not easy though as Benji is so fast!
I look forward to a video on that! It’s great that Ms. Zulu and Benji are good buddies! It sounds like they figured out how to self-entertain to the maximum, too!
They did. The Young of body and the young of mind are keeping each other entertained.

I may not always comment, but these guys never fail to make me laugh!!
Have a great day, Doug.
Thanks, GP! I just got banned on Facebook for what appears to be their standard for quantity and speed of entries. That is to say, what they think makes me a spammer. I am at a loss to understand how clicking on emojis and comments, making comments of my own, and sharing things I like has to do with their “not using the app as intended”, but bullies rarely explain why they are beating on you, eh? It took me lots of digging on their help site to finally (I think) figure out what their cause for upset was. Though lots of people follow me there, I’m seriously considering dropping my account, providing I get “unbanned”. What a humiliation! So mujh for my good day.
FB leaves a lot to be desired, IMO. I don’t belong myself, despite some of my readers come from there.
My blogs go over to FB, which is the main reason to stick around. for the most part, though, it is a repugnant place that requires lots of blocking till you get the “news” feed blocking offensive posts. “Social” is possible if one is very choosy about who =you follow. Fewer is best.
UPDATE: The link to FB that used to be on my blog is gone now. Presumably my blog won’t automatically go over there either. In which case, [BLEEP] Facebook! It’s a huge waste of time for the most part.
Love it!
Thanks! The kitty boys rarely fail me for something to post.
I just looking at them is fun. And some days I think they are laughing us.
I get some interesting looks that suggest what you suppose may have some truth to it! LOL!
So you and your cats are awake during the nights?
They get me up around 1 AM. Since I am retired, that is OK. Were I still working, I’d have to have a “discussion” with my kitties!
😊
Good luck hiding 🙂
Didn’t work for him!
It’s good to see you Doug
Sorry I haven’t been around
As always Sheldon
I’ve noticed that. Hope you are OK.
