In or out of the box, boxes (and tubs!) are a big part of the kitty boys’ day.
Boxes everywhere~!

I bet! The kitty boys also nose new boxes and the people who bring them if they knock to have me sign. Once they’ve had time to claim the boxes, they check to see if the other brother’s spent time in them. (“Scritches” from Andy and Dougy to their favorite woofies, Ms. Zulu and Mr. Benji!)
Hahah, I could always stick a photo of them on the box! And then I would sit Lugosi in the box with Ruby’s mug, and Ruby in the box with Lugosi’s mug! Now there’s an idea, hahaha. 😉
OK! No pressure from me. It would be cute and appropriate, even if the kitties don’t get the point and hop into the wrong box!

*Hop* into the box?! What are you talking about? I had to *put* them into the boxes! Especially Lugosi, who doesn’t like to stay in the box at all, he jumps straight back out! It was only with a bribe of treats that he stayed in it for more than half a second. 😉

I guess your kitties are blessed with enough entertainments that boxes don’t hold as many thrills as they do for my kitty boys. I mean, yours do get to go outside and enjoy those beautiful white passageways and any neighborhood cats they might meet.

Funnily enough, none of my kitties have ever been that interested in boxes. They have always preferred paper or plastic bags (with cut off handles!) to dive into and have fun with, at least for a minute or two! 😉
Also, since Spider’s death, Lugosi and Ruby have not really been interested in going outside anymore, so it’s only for a couple of minutes and they’re back inside, rather than staying outside for 15 minutes or longer… 🙁

Mine have never been interested in paper bags, and plastic ends up chewed. I have to hide that temptation from them.

oh yes, plastic and any other bags only supervised, otherwise they might get themselves in trouble. 😉
They sure love the boxes. I only have boxes in the livingroom occasionally and Shoko is over them with a fine tooth comb but then the thrill is gone. We should send the box to you. mol
I’m lucky in that regard. The kitty boys treat the boxes well for the most part. Andy sometimes chews a little on the corners, but they generally don’t make messes with the boxes…or mess in them!
When you have to pay directly for the gas to heat the water, you have a different perspective than you do when the bill for the gas comes once every month or so! I’m glad I had that experience because when I lived on the Kaserne, the showers had unlimited hot, steamy water, which prompted people to take American-length showers, using lots of water, which I did before I had the apartment experience. After the apartment experience, once I moved back to the Kaserne, I took environmentally friendly showers!
I think grandchildren might be a bit less destructive. Maybe…! LOL!

My post on 30 Jan 2018 is about a ginger tabby who fell off the garage roof on Christmas Day and ran up a whopping vet’s bill. He is now convalescing and has the household at his beck and call. sound familiar ?
I sneak a few out on trash day, but there are always boxes they watch like hawks. On in the front room is at least three, maybe four years old. Of course, since I live alone with two cats, they have one vote more than I on these matters. LOL!
Nothing like a good box to make a happy kitty! I see chew marks – our cats love to chew cardboard too.
There is some chewing here, but neither kitty boy wipes out a box this way.
Ohh, that’s so cute! Here boxes are always thoroughly “nosed”. I’m sure the doggies could tell us great stories about the travels of those boxes.

Scritches back at you guys, Ms Zulu and Benji.
They send their thanks!
You’ll like this photo (will post this on my blog at some stage too. 🙂

If one could get photos of one’s personal kitties on them, that would be cool!

LOL! I’ll be looking for it in future posts!
I need to find some time to do this first! LOL.

Any toys for that matter.
What adorable photos! 🙂
Thanks! Once in a while, a collection of similar photos makes an interesting collage. Anyone with cats knows they always can count on cats in boxes.
Their expressions are so cute.
They telegraph their moves pretty readily. I enjoy watching them be devious or just having fun because of the expressions that pop up on their faces!
They sure love the boxes. I only have boxes in the livingroom occasionally and Shoko is over them with a fine tooth comb but then the thrill is gone. We should send the box to you. mol

LOL! The kitty boys would definitely be at the front door waiting!
Looks like a box obstacle course–don’t break your leg!
I have to make sure the boxes are, in fact, out of walkways. When they start to overwhelm walkways, that’s when they start “disappearing”!
Kitties love their boxes. I would keep them around for my kitties too, but Penny always pees in them.

RYC ; I have been interested Doug by the way you used the water in Germany . This is exactly
my way ! 🙂 I replied to say this on my blog!

ecological showers ! : ) of course
It’s easy to waste water here because we are on top of the Ogallala Aquifer. However, that resource is not infinite. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ogallala_Aquifer
Such is the cat ‘ s paradise ! 🙂 Boxland !
I read on the side the bog Day on first of July. How old Andy and Dougy will be ?
In friendship
Michel
Andy and Dougy were born July 1st, 2011, so they will be seven years old. It is hard to realize they have been part of my life that long already!
They keep a large affective place in your present life, Doug.
That they do, Michel! They are my “children”.
They aree spoiled like grandchildren !! 🙂
I think grandchildren might be a bit less destructive. Maybe…! LOL!

Yep!
Those cats rule the world !
Will you ever be allowed to throw them out ?

I love your cat photos!
Thanks! It helps that they are photogenic.
wow every day is boxing day!!!! I wish the staff would buy more tv’s or fridges, so I had big boxes to play too
I bet they would if they bought a chateau and had to furnish 30 or so rooms!
