Post 1997: The temptation…

Minding his business. That’s how Andy is.

Say what??

Well, it was worth a try. Andy just can’t be tempted today.

=(^+^)=

For those who briefly saw tomorrow’s post in the Reader, it was accidentally scheduled for today along with this post, the actual Monday post. This sometimes happens when I have several posts prepared ahead of time. I’ve pulled it, but rescheduled it for tomorrow, the day I intended it to post. Sorry about that! The photo above is one of those in the story for tomorrow.

Post 1996: Finally, here’s Andy!

Typical! As soon as he realizes he’s about to be photographed, Andy takes evasive action! Dang kitty!

“OK! Just kidding!” Andy says, in Cattinese, of course. “Meow!”

“Besides,” Andy says, winking, “that’s my photo hanging on the wall. You got my photo in the first try!” Yeah, with Andy sticking out his tongue. And I always think Dougy is the comedian kitty in this family..! (The wall photo shows even better in this last photo.)

Now you’ve seen Andy, post grooming.

Post 1995: Dougy takes a break…

Destroying furniture takes a lot out of kitty boys. Ask Dougy!

Zzzzzzz…

Post 1994: What’s Dougy up to?

What’s Dougy up to?

Yep! This is what happened to the ottoman Dougy claims for himself.

Post 1993: Tuh-duh~!

Dougy and Andy got good grades for deportment at the groomer’s today. Athena and I settled on a floofier cut (see above), with a three month schedule between touch ups. Andy looks just as floofy, but he’s not cooperating with the photographer…

Dougy before…

…and after. See, they still have that handsome Persian quality, just a little shorter hair and no mats. I like it! How about you?

Post 1992: the kitty boys to have a day at the spa today…

A

Here’s today’s Dougy. What a floofy kitty boy!

Andy’s pretty floofy himself. What will the kitty boys look like tomorrow?

Stay tuned! I haven’t decided how much to have trimmed this time, but I think it will be a lot shorter than last time when Athena (their groomer) and I decided to see what they’d look like with longer hair.

Dougy (above) and Andy are spectacular (I think) with longer hair, but they started to get mats on their tummies and underarms in the third month after the last spa day. I don’t think I’m doing something right and the brush I use doesn’t seem up to the kitty boys’ dense undercoats.

Here’s Dougy after the last spa day. I think this is about right for a winter cut. Athena and I will work it out! If I can work out the matting problem, I will go for the longer look again.

Post 1991: Dougy gets his kitty on… again!

Temptation comes to Dougy’s door…

…well, technically, his box! During his eye issues, he had little interest in kitty games, but now that his eyes are OK, he is getting his kitty on again.

Of course, in the low light, depth of field and kitty pre-attack wiggle assure you can’t get a good look at Dougy on the hunt.

Take my word for it, this is a fierce wildcat on the hunt, no matter how cute the wiggle!

Post 1990: Andy finds fault…

He often just comes around and roosts on the recliner arm.

I’m usually on the laptop. I think he wants me to put kitty videos on, which sometimes I do.

But not always…

…and Andy finds fault in that.

Post 1989: morning has come again…

Dougy had his “Crazy Run” – you cat people know what I mean! – and settled down to watch the movie.

“I thought you said it was Mozart!” Dougy whined. (He love, love, loves Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte” and Papageno is his favorite character, of course!) Off to the guest bedroom to sulk.

Andy, in the meantime, thinks I don’t know where he’s “hiding”. Yes, it must be “Kitty Medicine Time”!

=(^+^)=

For you who are unfamiliar with “Die Zauberflöte” here is a video in the spirit of the Papageno character:

Post 1988: I’m minding my own business when…

I’m minding my own business when…

…a fuzzy presence pops up out of nowhere.

“What is it, kitty boy? Cat’s got yer tongue??” He is trying to tell me something, Andy is!

“Timmy’s in the well?” Andy’s body language seems to suggest I look at the clock. What?! What interest does a kitty boy have in clocks?

Oh yeah! I forgot about kitty clock time: Andy’s trying to tell me it’s lunch time. His horns are up! It’s “Kitty Food O’clock”!
