Here, in exclusive low light photos is Andy and Dougy sorting out who gets to stay on the kitty lounger they both claim. Andy’s on the lounger. Dougy got bopped on the head and he ran into the guest bedroom. Andy gloated about winning this round in “The Terribly Serious, Mean-Spirited War For Control Of The Kitty Lounger Both Brothers Want”. Whew! This is how Andy topped being a naughty kitty by hiding for almost four hours to avoid his medicine. Bad, bad kitty! I had a long, serious talk with him, balancing his little butt on my knee and holding him up, supporting him under his little arms. I forced him to look straight into my eyes, in violation of kitty rules of etiquette. I WAS MAD!
Andy felt bad. My talk apparently penetrated his little head because he gave me exclusive attention most of the morning. He was the most playful he’s been in a long time. We had fun wand toy playtime that lasted nearly an hour!
He drew the line at brushing, so we settled for “scritching”. Yeah, it’s hard to stay mad at such a sweet kitty boy!
Purrlease don’t be mad, Mr. Doug. It is our kitty instinct to want to run away from any foreign thing that humans want to put in our bodies. Hugs.
Even Grennie kitty treats? LOL! I even wipe Andy’;s face with a wet paper towel if any of it leaks out the side of his mouth so he doesn’t have sticky stuff in his fur. I know he doesn’t like “wet” but it does help him keep perfectly groomed!
Serious sibling rivalry is going on, but ultimately, your serious talks are effective – I am seriously impressed!
I was surprised, too!
Our cats do get a bit cranky in the heat, too. It sounds like you are getting a heat wave out there, Doug. So far, July has been on the cooler side, although still pretty dry. August is yet to come!
Yes, it’s been hot for several days now. There is enough thunderstorm activity to help cool it down a bit, though.
You live close to one guy you get tried of the same ole stuff.. The little beasty in all of us comes flying out. Besides I think most of us need a good whap on the head occssionally.
Sometimes I think there are those among us who got “thunked” on the head one time too many!
doodz…dad kneadz ta get 93 more loungerz…..just line em up ina row …thiz mite help !!
……may bee !! 🙂 ♥♥
You know there wqould still be one in 94 loungers that both would want! Cat law…
true… hard to be angry for more than a second.. but even with two loungers or 5 or 87 it would happen the same way LOL
You know it! They are claiming the same things left and right lately. I blame the heat and instinct.
