After all the rain, cold, and snow of the past few weeks, today is looking like a bright, sunshiney day!
I opened the doors to let fresh air in, something an apartment with three boys (Andy, Dougy, and me) in it definitely can use from time to time — whew!
Dougy was the first to make use of the open door in back.

Another sunshiney thing about today is I finally figured out the problem with my all-in-one machine. You know computers and peripherals: when they work, they are wonderful; when they don’t work, it’s usually something stupid and simple, but takes hours and days to figure out!

What was wrong w/ your all in one? I assume you mean printer, etc. I bought a new one and I cannot get it to work! It says the printer cartridges are stuck 🙁 Was so mad because the one I broke had a problem w/ the cartridges. I don’t want to break this one too but if I have to throw it through the window I have to! Sigh… technology.
Mine was a communication issue. It is set up as a WiFi item, but it wasn’t getting the signal. I’m not sure which setting was off, but it was something stupid, I’m sure! I eventually just said to hell with the initial set up and reloaded the driver and did a new start up from step one till finish. I’ve had issues with HP printers/all-in=one machines being balking under certain circumstance before, and this approach, while ridiculously tedious, seems to be the magic solution each time.
As for your printer cartridge issue, I don’t know what the problem might be unless the cartridge wasn’t installed correctly or all the way. On my HP, you have to push in on the cartridge, which causes it to pop out far enough you can remove it easily. I replace these cartridges infrequently, so usually forget this simple step and try to pull it out rather than push on it first. (I echo your sentiments on technology!)
Tried again today w/ duplicate lack of results, going to call HP tomorrow. Oh I do not usually cry and swear but this thing is really getting to me!
That may be the easiest and fastest solution, though I hope you get someone who speaks American English without an accent…! I hate it when I get someone with a strong foreign accent because I have a hard enough time hearing people on the phone as it is. Good luck!
No progress again today but at the same time I think I am getting somewhere (besides the end of my rope lol)

Oh dear…! We have occasional lapses here, too, but always (I think) where I see them or feel them under foot. (ICK!)
I just have a couple of old towels around for him. It’s less nasty than other places would be.

I’m glad you figured things out. My problem today is slow….slow….and after more updates went into the computer – EVEN SLOWER!!
