Dougy mostly doesn’t feel like playing. It’s his nap time.
Andy “RAWR’s” the mockingbird in short time! KILL! KILL! KILL!

Quality time!

Andy stops by to see me, then he spots an opportunity…

…the water bottle cap! He plays a bit with it, mostly out of sight of my camera, of course, but here’s an “under Dougy’s ottoman” point-of -view shot.
Next, Andy decides to get in the new box, which tips over. He scratches at the bottom for whatever reason…to tip it up? To expand it? Only Andy knows.

That didn’t last long! Andy decides to return to where he started.

Andy stopped by long enough to notice something new.
Dougy watches Andy try to stuff his kitty-treat plumped wee kitty butt into the new box. His brother looks like he’s about to give up.

Perhaps you can see that Andy’s succeeded and is sticking his tongue out at Dougy…!

Silly cat! Dougy doesn’t give a rat’s butt if you’re in the box, Andrew! Andy hops back up on the end table. Dougy’s no fun today!

Everything’s back to where we started.

What sends Dougy into – purr! – kitty ecstacy?

A good brushing!

It takes a little effort…

…to find the precise spot that’s…

…just right!

Dougy’s settled in!
Andy is more concerned at the moment with good grooming than playing “flyswatter”, a game both he and Dougy enjoy. The game is simple: Try to catch the flyswatter as it slips in and out of the pages of the magazines or newspapers on the floor. That’s how they get all chewed up!

The question is, can Andy ignore the challenge of the flyswatter forever?
You kidding? The flyswatter is irresistible fun! He even added a little extra to the game: A water bottle cap that he alternated with digging for the flyswatter. (That’s what he’s trying to “catch” in the top left and bottom photos.)

He sees I see he sees…

…I see he sees…

…I see he sees I see…

…he sees I see him, but he pretends he doesn’t. He’s a kitty boy!
