I located Andy’s new den by accident. He looked so contented, I couldn’t bring myself to challenge why he chose this particular spot….

Andy is content in the dark safety of his new den.
Of course, I might have to upset the little darling sooner than later because his den has other uses!

Yes, that’s the wastepaper basket in the kitchen, a favorite one for the kitties to knock over.
Andy just walked over to sit by me at the computer, so I’ll upright his “den” for now. I expect it will end up on its side again, soon, so the kitties — Andy, at least — and I have a new game to play!
This boy is such heart stealer and these two photos shows his beauty and his adorableness. (is that a word) I can see why they own your heart.
I look forward to when he’s all cleaned up and groomed again. You are right: He is one handsome kitty! When I get photos of the results, I will, of course, show (off!) my kitty nephew here!
Why don’t you just get another trash can
I may have to do that, Sheldon!
MOL! 😸 That’s adorable!
And I thought he just wanted to be a naughty kitty by tipping the wastepaper basket over! For the time being, I’ll humor him, leave it on its side, and see if he continues to use it for a den. If he does, I’ll follow Sheldon’s suggestion and get a replacement for actual wastepaper usage! (I don’t spoil my kitties, eh?!)
Without any doubt Andy has an inventive mind !! 🙂

You know you are totally owned by your pets when you let them take over things for their own purposes!
Gracious! Laughing.
I hope it’s just a short term infatuation, not his new permanent lodging…!
Is Andy a cave cat? This morning my two each lay in a cat-cave …
Apparently he is…! :\
So cute, just his size, the right color, and even some papers in there for nesting material.
Crazy cat! If I put something soft in there for bedding, he’d probably push it aside. That’s what Dougy did in a carrier he likes to day-nap in.
That is in his genes – where he genetically stems from cats of that size better found a safe place to sleep where no bigger predator could get them.
Or mean men wanting to give them medicine! LOL!
Discussed this with my friend last night, we agreed that too much stress is counterproductive when it comes to giving medicine for heart-issues or bloodpressure reduction.
Yes, that’s what prompted me to include massage and kitty treats in the process so Andy has something to like about the process. He probably never will like the medicine, but I can make it less stressful for him. He does like the massage and treats!
Aren’t they little weirdos? Shoko has a lovely condo and basket but she’ll fall asleep on the shelf next to the toilet paper or in the walk in closet on the hard wood floor.
(((Shoko)))
And how! Andy seems positively normal compared with Dougy this morning. Dougy was stretched out, sleeping on the floor, but stretched over a broom handle and a walking cane. Looked really uncomfortable…!
hehehe…sounds terribly uncomfortable. Shoko gets into the dirty laundry basket and sleeps…why? She has a terrible hurdle to get to the dirty laundry basket. She must get into the laundry tub, jump up on the HE washing machine and dryer, which have drawers under them, in order to even reach the dirty laundry basket. What a turkey!
That’s a cat for you! LOL!
