Today, both kitty boys were to go to their veterinarian for an exam, rabies shot, and another one that I can’t decipher on the bill. One of them made it; the other was in hiding when it was time to go. Little does Andy know, he gets to visit Dr. Y. on Thursday morning, if I have to start a forest fire in his hiding places to get him to come out! Bad kitty! You’ll wish you were a good boy today like your brother!
=(^!^)=
As usual, Dougy was whiny while in the carrier on the way to his appointment….
Once there, though, he was reasonably good while getting weighed.
Dougy was very good on the examination table, especially considering he got two shots!
Dougy got a good bill of health. Weight, heart, wiggly parts: A-OK! When we got home, Andy (of course!) greeted us at the door. I gave Dougy some kitty treats for being a good boy.
Andy joined me at the computer, ripe for snatching. Too bad I have to wait till Thursday for his appointment. He’s very available right now.
Mr. Innocent. (He just winked at me!)
Andy just has too much experience hiding from his medicine. 🙂
That is true! I can catch him one or two times at any given “neutral” place, then it becomes the next place he won’t be when it’s time for medicine. Today, he seems to think it’s safe to stretch out next to the computer desk while I’m here. Yesterday, it was by the front down. Before that it was the recliner arm closest to the glider. And so on!
I hope next Thursday you succeed to get Andy and put him in the carrier to take him to the veterinarian. Good luck ! 🙂
In friendship
Michel
Thanks, my friend! I will need all the luck I can muster to catch Andy!
I’m glad to hear my buddy took his physical like a man!!
Not only that, once he was out of the carrier, he didn’t whine! He was a big kitty!
That’s my boy!! (Don’t I always tell you that?!!!) 🙂
Yeah, but it doesn’t change the fact that you still (and always!) are his No. 1 fan! Dougy says “Mrow!”
Blessing and Happiness to you all, they are so lovely 🙂 Thanks and Love, nia

Well said! I believe that as well.
Oh yes, vet-visits – do not get me started on them … my female feline goes in meltdown – and spills poo and pee generously on her flight. Chemical warfare.
I’m not sure, but I think Andy leaves a little pee on my shirt when I give him his medicine. It’s not much, but it seems like my shirt always is a little wet right about where he might have leaked a little….! Fortunately, because they spent weeks in the veterinarian clinic when they were kttens, they are familiar with the place, the people, the smells and sounds, and their veterinarian, who’s been their doctor all their lives. They always behave nicely in the clinic!
hahaha…been there….done that! Kali used to be horrible with the fighting and clutching the side of the carrier. I have discovered she likes the little cardboard box Shoko has. Kali now goes in the cardboard box. When the lid is opened she is relaxed and flaked out like Lady Muck on a purple towel. Shoko is so overcome that one is actually thinking about taking her somewhere in a carrier that she goes obediently. It’s when they get into the car, that’s when the duet starts. The ride home is perfectly quiet. They seem to be somewhat the same.

I can count on Dougy to whine,m Andy to go quietly. They generally come out of the carrier without hassles at the veterinarian’s, and they charge out of the carrier like the bulls at Pamplona when they get home! Now that they ride rto the clinic in my station wagon instead of the backseat of the old car, a sedan, there is less whining during the ride from Dougy because he must realize he’s farther from me!
I am glad Dougy was good and is healthy. Good luck with Andy.
Me, too! And thanks! I hope Andy doesn’t get too suspicious. I think he went into hiding when he saw me catch his brother, who made a whine when I put him in the carrier.
Our kitties do not like to visit the vet either. I can see Dougy’s laser beam eyes starting to glow on the examining table. 🙂
Yes, he was close to laying low everyone in the room! LOL!
The boys look good.
Dougy is officially doing well and Andy will get his exam and shots Thursday morning. Andy seems to be doing well, too!
They are both so handsome!!
Yes, they are!! I can’t take credit for that other than I take care of them, feed them, make sure they see their veterinarian regularly…. Thanks, John!
