Dougy feels like chasing Andy but he can’t find him. “Where’s Andy?”
Dougy thinks it through. The new box? Worth a check! (Andy crouches down.)
Dougy passes by but doesn’t see Andy. (What?! He’s right there, kitty!)
Andy can’t believe it!
Dougy’s in the other room, so Andy hops on his favorite kitchen area box. He still can’t believe Dougy can’t find him.
Dougy would probably have said that he just changed his mind
Could be!
I love the little set of eyes peering from the box!
Andy does that. I love it, too! He’s so cute when he does that and Dougy rarely sees him.
Hide and seek kitty boy style – funny!
LOL! Yeah! I get a kick out of watching them at play.
I was sure Andy was going to jump out and scare the cwap outa Dougy. Staying hidden probably worked out better for him, though!
Dougy lucked out!
Peek-a-boo Andy! I’ll play that game with you! I am pretty good at finding things in boxes! Purrs! Mom & I luv the looks on both your faces! Purrs!
Hee! Hee! Great, eh?! Andy and Dougy would enjoy playing with you, too. They have a sister (and another brother), but they live in South Dakota.
Do you think these two really love and know each other? Do they act like true brothers? Do they seek each other out????
Yes, they do seek each other out. Of course, if it involves food or kitty treats, the kitty boys are unanimous:L They agree these are good! On the other hand, when it comes to sharing favorite spots…! Fur will fly! Hee! Hee!
Good job Andy!
He’s so cute hiding from his brother!
Sometimes ya just have to let the kids win.
How true!
LOL, in the reader’s thumbnails, I had the impression that Dougy had his paw on a cup of coffee while reading the paper… Couldn’t imagine that being quite right.
LOL! Andy, maybe. He’s more worldly than his brother.
And here I thought Andy was a ‘box dweller’ like Mr. M.
Less so than Dougy, though I think it’s mostly because Dougy is a box hog. The first one to take a box leaves his scent, and that determines who uses it, pretty much, after then.
Mr. M has his special box — the good part is that we generally know where to find him. The bad part is that this makes him rather antisocial… Sometimes Purrseidon sit on his box and bats at the door until she elicits a response.
LOL! I can visualize that! A prime box is wanted by both kitty boys, of course, and there is a lot of shifting in and out as they settle on which kitty gets the box.
Purrseidon here. Pops had received a shipment of walnut panels to make sides of a couple guitars, so the box was sturdy, long and about 10″ square… I asked for the box because it was the purrfect size and it smelled wonderful, then Mom helped me with scissors and tape to cut a couple doors and make it pretty…. I’ve barely seen my brufur since he moved in his favorite toy, blankie and silvervine stick, but at least I know where he is. >^.^<
The perfect size! I suspect such a prize would have been the source of some internecine squabbles here. Well, maybe not that severe, but I bet there would be some head bopping should one brother try to displace the other from such prime property! (Maybe you can spend some time in the box in time, Purrseidon!)
Oh, I don’t want to intrude on his box, I just want him to come out more often. >^.^<
Good luck on that! There is a (strange) cartoon called “Cat Face” that features a floating cat and “Box Cat”. Here’s an example:

Thank you for the link. I shall check it out
