You think Dougy wakes up looking beautiful? Ha! Ha! He looks pretty ruffled till I brush him out, especially now that his hair is really long. He tries to look pretty, but he always has a bad hair day without my assistance.
Before I brush him, he still enjoys a bit of “scritching”, of course, since he doesn’t know how ruffled he looks. (If I pointed the camera my way at this time of day, even later, you’d agree I can use a personal groomer, too!)
Dougy is always a handsome cat, morning rumples or not. 🙂
Dougy says to tell you “mrow”!
And a big “mrow” back to him too! 🙂
He looks rather offended in the top left picture of the grouping. You must have told him what you were writing.
It’s a Persian thing! LOL! I like getting up really early because it gives me a long time to put on my public face, which is much nicer than my grump “just up” one. Dougy is the same.
They need to comb their hair every morning, just like humans do 🙂
Yes, especially during the shedding season! There is lots of loose hair in their coats that gets tangled in the attached hair, causing mats.
Man, having Persian cats must be tough! Good thing that I have a Shorthair (even that, my house has a lot of hair in the corners, LoL).
LOL! No doubt! As for Persians, they do require lots of brushing, but they are such sweet-dispositioned kitties, they are still very popular. Dougy “talks” a lot the older he gets, but Andy still is a quiet kitty. He purrs to let you know when he’s pleased with you, though.
Thanks, Andy! Thank u too Dougy (I guess).
Yes, both feel the same.
I think it’s a wild thing…MOL 😀 Pawkisses for a Happy Week ahead 🙂 <3
It certainly looks wild!
In the first photo he looks like the Davy Jones character in Pirates of the Caribbean… maybe he could make some money as his stand in!
Ha! Ha! Yes, I see what you mean!
Keeps you busy, doesn’t he?
By the way, I did make scones, and they came out delicious. I’ll post them in a couple of days.
Glad you had good results, too! You always have great things posted on your blog, and I’ve been printing out recipes I think I’m up to. I’m surprised you haven’t put together a cookbook. The recipes are well-written and you take photos that make my mouth water!
Thank you so much, Doug; you are very kind. The book is in its last formatting stages.
You are a professional photographer; please tell me what is so good about my photos that are taken with a cell phone (not even a smart phone, but a dumb phone!). I am not being facetious but truly asking for a professional opinion!
I’;m not a professional by any means. I’m pleased to learn you are actually doing a recipe book. I personally think your photos are well-composed and your clearly have a strong sense of food presentation! Part of the joy of food is how it pleases the eye first, then engages the other senses.
Thank you so much for your feedback! 😸
My pleasure! (Wish I were so lucky as to in your family and getting to “test drive” recipes you prepare!)
I wish I could send food to you by e-mail!
Me, too! Second best option is for me to try the recipes, knowing my results will be h=good, but they will never be as good as what you make!
How do you know? They might be a lot better!
You and I will never know! (I will suspect you would win in a bake off.)
To quote Ian Fleming, “Never say never…”
LOL! I suppose so!
That’s some serious bedhead!
And how! And he puts up resistance to a complete brushing.
Ik vind hem met zijn wat wilde haarbos een schoonheid
Ha! Ha! Hij kan een beetje als een wildcat zien die een moesson overleefde!
I think that look is in. Looks a little like Bob Dylan .
If he were scrawny and had a wimpy beard…!
and had a lot of money…
Yes, and adoring fans in the millions…who spend millions to be fans!
He is not so ” bad-haired ” ! what a good habit, and scrutching too ! Amitiés aux trois 🙂
LOL! He looks like stray cat before I brush him, France!
you remind me of the mama… she looks a little ruffled in the morning too… that’s because of the pup who sleeps on her head efurry night ;o)
Hee! Hee! I hope you don’t show her lots of love and lick her hair, too, while you have access!
Definitely a clear example of a bad hair day. Mine doesn’t look great after a night’s sleep either.
Mine looks pretty decent if my hair’s short, but the beard usually looks like a cat licked it while I slept. (I hope not!)
